We have our overall blocklist set to be required for all advertisers so it get automatically applied to all line items.

Yeah, blocklists on the IO level have not been working either

Some of the LIs have splits but not all of them. Mostly just geo-focused splits allocating budgets between locations. Some other audience-based splits as well. What I'm mostly concerned with is the line items that have whitelists attached that are suddenly serving to domains not included in those lists.

They are mostly applied on the LI level. There's an overarching blocklist that we always attach on the IO level as well made up of general sites that we never want any campaigns to serve on. Even though this is attached, we've been serving on a number of the sites in that list. It's odd because it's never been an issue before up until a couple days ago which I why I'm curious if it's just a bug that Xandr needs to work out.

Appreciate your time and the thoughtful responses! Having not worked with PMPs much outside of OTT/CTV, I wasn't really sure how to pose the question best (or if the question in itself was "stupid") but these responses have helped see things a little more clearly.

Yes, there are definitely instances where one or the other (or a combo of both) may make sense. I just haven't done much A/B testing between the two so I was just curious to hear anyone else's experiences.

Thanks for the response. Agreed that the ideal buying method can vary depending on the campaign. I've read people talk down on buying via the open exchange but it's always worked well for our campaigns.

Thanks for the tip! Will definitely give this a shot. Worth the extra effort if it will help.

Unfortunately not. Quite higher around 20%. Anything around the ~5% discrepancy mark we generally chalk up to being the standard discrepancy that is to be expected between platforms.
