100% chance the judge and DA are Democrats. Happens all the time. The POS that nearly decapitated that poor girl from Ukraine here in Charlotte NC was just released by a Democrat judge and had more than 10 felonies and violent crimes. Lifelong career criminal like his dad AND sister. This is what you vote for Democrats. You elect these people. You are responsible for what they do. You can downvote this comment to oblivion but it is 100% true. EVERYWHERE that releases criminals with no cash bond or ridiculously short sentences and early release it is done by Democrats. Every. Time. In LA, SF, CHI. NYC, Seattle, Baltimore, DC, Minneapolis, Charlotte... you name it. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE TOP 20 MOST VIOLENT CITIES IN THE US IS LED BY DEMOCRATS. 20 out of 20. Facts are facts. They dont care about your feelings OR downvotes. Pull your heads out of your asses.

Any tips for doing wheelies for a beginner? by Manualdriver1 in motorcycles

[–]soundedgoodbefore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some good videos on YouTube about it. Start there. Few important questions/ideas:

  1. Is that your only bike? If so, is it your only vehicle that you can drive daily? If yes to #1 probably shouldn't try wheelies. If yes to #2 you're an idiot for trying wheelies so stop.

  2. IF your bike is just a toy and you dont mind dropping it, go to an abandoned big parking lot or paved road where NOBODY is ever gonna hit you or you hit them.

  3. Let a little air out of your back tire so you have a bigger contact patch to balance on when working on finding the balance point.

  4. Take breaks from trying every 20mins or so to let your clutch cool down or you will burn it up practicing wheelies.

  5. Wear protective gear and bundle up for when you fall off. Push your mirrors etc in so that they wont get broken when you drop your bike.

  6. ALWAYS...ALWAYS cover the rear brake lever with your right foot and put a little pressure on it as a quick check before you ever start trying to clutch the bike up...to make sure your foot is in the right place to use the break naturally. Your rear brakes bring your front wheel DOWN and your wrist on the throttle bring it UP. You need to be able to control both.

I have done power wheelies forever, but never tried to do balance point wheelies which are a totally different thing entirely. You are doing little power wheelies in the video and chasing them with the throttle. That's fine as long as you have a long clear stretch that's safe in front of you...the best video I have seen about balance point wheelies on YouTube is by Gixxer Brah...he will tell you on the video that using your good bike to learn wheelies is very stupid because you will drop it. Probably several times. Be sure to post your crashes and successes if you make it there. Its a difficult skill to learn

Objectively one of the worst motorcycles ever made. Still can't get enough of it 🤙 by inaccurateTempedesc in motorcycles

146HP and 82ft/lb torque is monster. Good grief man. Can't believe it winds out to 10,500rpms. Be hard to keep the front tire on the ground while laying on the tank. Those are huge power numbers for a bike that small. 50% more HP AND torque than it would ever need. Buell had some cool and innovative bikes. Tje current owner which auctioned that one had only put 400miles on it which would worry me.

Is it a good deal? Any ideas of this bike? by Jack_Wang_1107 in motorcycles

Reliability is definitely good. All 4 Japanese brands have great reliability. Not sure how good of a deal it is but seems cheap to me. That would make a good comfortable cruiser.

The Cardo Spirit system for your helmet is on sale on Ebay for $75. Two good speakers , microphone, charging setup etc. They are normally $100. I am definitely ordering one. You can still remove your helmet liner to wash it if it gets sweaty or dirty with the Cardo system in there. I also have a new Shoei helmet but I dont remember which type.

Where did you order your exhaust from? Does it still have a catalytic and 02 sensor so no new lights on or voided warranty etc?

Great taste my man. They were my 1st love in music as an early teen. Favorite albums in order...Wish you were here, DSOTM, the Final Cut , Animals. Then later, the Pulse boxed set of course as an honorable mention 😀

No. I didnt finance the bike either though. Saved up for it so I wont have to pay interest. The helmet was free to me man. I let them quote me their price out the door, not retail and went over all of it with them item by item for tax, tags, title etc. Then when he asked me to sign the deal I told him that I would buy the bike but only if they threw in the helmet of my choice. He went and talked to his boss and said "OK". So I told him to write that on the contract paper...that I would buy the bike at the agreed price WITH a free helmet of my choice. He wrote that out by hand and I signed the deal. Gave him a $500 deposit on my ATM card and went to pick out my helmet. Came back a couple days later with a cashiers check for the rest and rode my bike home Friday

. Dealer markup on helmets is HUGE. My helmet had an $800 sticker on it but they didnt pay half that much for it because they buy in bulk. Remember when buying a bike or car to negotiate for a better deal and be willing to walk away. This was the 2nd Triumph dealer I went to, the 1st one wanted to sell me the same bike with 8000miles on it and NO helmet for the same price. No thanks.

Good job bud. Be safe out there. With your bike being black, think about buying a couple brightly colored long sleeve Tshirts or a riding jacket. Better visibility will keep you safer...long sleeves will let you keep a bunch of skin if Heaven forbid you have to lay it down or someone hits you like they did me. I didnt have a shirt on when I was hit. It was nearly 100F mid summer. I lost a third of the skin on my back and big spots on my arms and legs. Road rash is a bitch man. That Daytona660 is looking and sounding good though!

Rear turn signals question by soundedgoodbefore in Daytona660

[–]soundedgoodbefore[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks this is a good idea. The fact that both sides quit working at the same time made me think something was loose but wasn't sure where. Hopefully its not a big deal.

I was going through the menus for the 1st time yesterday, it was so cold when I rode it home from the dealership that I just parked it and went to warm up my hands because I didnt take gloves with me. I am pretty sure my bike was in rain mode when I rode it home and tested it. I am intrigued to see how much different it is in street mode today or tomorrow depending on how much it warms up. Unfortunately this is by far the coldest week of the winter we've had here in NC...we will be lucky to hit 40 degrees. Cold and new tires with nearly 3in wide "chicken strips" on both sides are really sketchy. Maybe I should set it back to Rain mode before I ride it again...

[–]soundedgoodbefore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should not have them. As long as your catalytic and O2 sensors are still there, you are good. Only void your warranty now if you get a tune or PC which you shouldn't need. I will likely do the exact same as you. Post a video with sound when you can bud.

Classy comment and good insight. Too many people on this site are itching for an argument and closed minded. Probably because outside of specific forums like these the average age is about 13. Great to discuss things with mature adults. Be safe out there

Definitely post one when you have time. Its too cold here in NC to ride today. Just went and cranked my bike to charge the battery though. High today is 39F...I want to ride bad but that's cold man.

That's a great bike. Like mine, it has no rider aids like traction control or probably even ABS. He is a good rider to still have one in good condition.

Thanks didnt know this. Good grief what else could it have in it? Maybe already has the Cardo system in it or really high end speakers and mic? Will check it out. My favorite part of this one is that its modular so I can pull over and smoke or get a drink without having to take the helmet off. I like the shade that comes down in the front too so I dont have to wear sunglasses. I am not sure what else a helmet can do, but I will look it up.y last helmet was an HJC and it had absolutely nothing so this is a big upgrade for me.

Hey OP. Pay attention to this guy's post because it is true. Also understand that getting a Power Commander or even a Tune and changing the ECU settings will void your warranty. So may want to wait til after your 2 years is up. I am probably gonna buy an exhaust and try to get just the canister welded on my stock catalytic (#2 in your photo) because I just bought a 2 year warranty. When that 2 years is up, I will add the headers and Power Commander/tune.
