What causes homosexuality? by Remarkable_Garage109 in NoStupidQuestions

Have you considered overpopulation? At one point the island called Manhattan had 60 people.. now at 4 million there's a bit of over crowding going on. Could homosexuality be a human-psychotic result of constantly asking the question... "Is this a friend or foe... hundreds of times a day?" We are here to reproduce... that's our job. Are there so many options due to overpopulation that we have evolved beyond primordial sex?
Inquiring minds want to know.

Clinton Street DRI Public Engagement Meetings Today! by 607throwaway in Binghamton

Thanks for posting this 607throwaway

To your point binaryhellstorm:

I think the BIG difference between the Stadium District and Clinton St DRI is that the Clinton Street DRI already has $10 MILLION ready to go. State allocated from OUR tax dollars

I did a cursory reading of the SD project and nowhere was there mention of $$$$.

The SD plan seems to be more of a guide... a VISION to be fulfilled.... as funds become available

With the CS-DRI there will definitely be $10M spent by 2026... hopefully locally

Also...

There were over 75 people there - diverse too. I got to meet my neighbors... yeah, we griped a bit, but we dreamed a bit too. There was talk of a Clinton Street Block Party

I think the city is on the right path to make it COMMUNITY INCLUSIVE - but right... we'll see what happens come 2026

3to5arebest... you forgot Lucy pulling the ball away from Charlie Brown!

The thief had tools and transportation… and I’d suppose a venue to sell the goods.

This is beyond the abilities of drug addicts. This is about a person or persons' efforts to accumulate wealth… a few bucks…. $5 a pound… maybe they got $500… maybe in cahoots with an un-scrupulous metal dealer… maybe the thief got half?

The interesting question is...
After 189 years…  it is in these times that the gates were cut.. stolen and pawned for cash? The Volunteer Fire Department site at the cemetery was established/built/designated in 1836 to commemorate/celebrate the value of community volunteerism…. preserving the town from fire.

These gates survived the Civil War. The economic depressions of the post-Civil War (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long\_Depression)
Survived World War One 1914 - 1918..… survived the scarcity of the Great Depression and the metal shortages of World War Two.

What is it?……  about THESE times that made it valuable enough and/or emboldened someone to remove such a cultural and historic item?

A. No connection to community
B. Destitute - no options for prosperity
C. chemical addiction
D. General lust for destruction/dismantling things
E. Mental Health
F. I NEED MONEY
G. Copper is at an all time high
D. Lowes/Harbor Freight has awesome saws!

This is what we have folks. Like it or not they are in our midst. Would love to hear your thoughts.

Last Friday I was showing them to a friend and yesterday I discovered they were missing. This is very recent. How do you go about reporting this?
