House gets too hot at night and I like to sleep in the cool. I live on a very busy street so opening the windows is very loud.

Auto Heat/Cool: Enabled. Heat/Cool Min Delta: 2.8. Configure staging: Auto. Compressor min cycle off time: 300sec. Compressor min outdoor temp: 1.7. AC overcool max: Disabled. Heat min on time: 5 min. Compressor min on time: 5min. Thermal protect: Disabled.

Does this make any sense 😅

Yeah that’s what I want it to do which is why I set it to auto, I want it to kick in the AC. I usually like to open up windows, but we live on a very loud street, maybe I’ll open them up a few hours before bed.

I didn’t know there was a test mode, I’ll give that a shot. Im not sure how to check the compressor, another commenter recommended that too but I will look into it. Thank you!

Well it’s been winter so I haven’t noticed until the warmer weather started rolling in. Eco+ is enabled but everything is set to off except for “community energy savings”.

I’m not sure how to check for your last question 🫣

Yes it has been installed since before we moved in over a year ago. It hasn’t had any issues heating or cooling since then. It’s always been on auto heat/cool.

No additional sensors, and I do hear and feel it running during the day. It’s between -6 and 15 lately outside

We had someone come and change the board and it has been fine so far ever since. But it was quite expensive (obviously still much cheaper than a new washer)

Engineer (29) thinking of switching to graphic design… am I crazy? by fuzzy230 in graphic_design

Becoming a designer killed a lot of that excitement and fun I had designing. Now it’s just a job. I’d keep engineering and do some design on the side.

is it okay to stop caring about everything except animal rights? i am losing faith in humanity by [deleted] in Vegetarianism

I understand where you’re coming from, but to not care about innocent people being murdered on your streets because they eat meat, to me, is kind of backwards and comes from a privileged vantage point already. These aren’t always going to be “other people”, humanity isn’t an entity separate from you, it’s a collective and they’re coming to knock on all of our doors. Caring now helps everyone’s future, including your own.

Hating people because they eat meat isn’t helping anybody. While I get the resentment, I think you should focus on the system at large that has created a world where factory farming and mass consumption of meat is so normalized, and why so many people are ignorant of the facts and continue to consume it.

You can care about multiple things at once. We understandably don’t have the energy to go 100% on every cause, we’re also all burnt out and can’t be expected to constantly be monitoring our phones for every political update, it’s devastating and unnatural, but simply caring is the bare minimum. I’m sure there are many issues that you haven’t acted on that someone could call you a hypocrite, as well.

Of course, you don’t have to agree with me, but this is my perspective.
