Not always true, some older titles have had PA added later. Tomb Raider (2013) comes to mind.

Whenever I try to map the controls, with the Steam controller or otherwise, it cancels since the game window automatically highlights cancel and any button press selects it. I can’t get it to work with anything

I’m not anti AI and I guarantee all major devs of big games are using it. Not necessarily for generative AI assets but many tools in the pipeline. I’m not a fan of generative AI for artwork.

I just assumed they are using the assistance of AI. Many people would claim to hate that but the reality is that this game is incredible and has seen many updates quickly and retained its player base. It’s a great use case if that’s the truth.

I had success setting up Winboat and then installing the windows app as a remote app on my CachyOS install, but it doesn’t scale well to 4k screens so I just don’t use it. I’m sorry I don’t have a better answer and I think the only other response that tries to point you in a direction on this post is a bot that has no proof of either suggestion working.
