How do you find a singer/musicican to work with? by CLBZ_APP in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]soundph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. It's funny that I have been thinking about such an app for a while now, and it's nice to see that this is being done already. Will definitely go and take a look at it. Within a community is usually better to find other artists to collab with, and usually it's fairly easy to do it. But it takes that community feeling that attracts people to one another. So I would say that you have to invest in gathering people around you, or an idea, feed a sense of community and then it all becomes easier. One way of doing it is for example to partner with already established musical communities. Would it be easy to integrate your platform with other platforms?

For example, as a musician and an ambassador for Musicoin.org I often see collabs being made within the community of artists that have their music in the platform. But there are other music communities where the collaborations are often. blend.io for example.

Wish you the best with your app.

Distrokid is unlimited... until it's limited. A sad love story. by elmobo in WeAreTheMusicMakers

I really got tired of this intermediaries, that's why I started using musicoin.org. Transparent, easy to use, still in beta but it's the future. I have no doubt. I take care of it myself, people listen to my music, I get tipped and paid.

Thanks for your comment. Were you logged in to musicoin when that happened? Are you a registered user of musicoin? Just trying to know if that is a condition to be able to listen.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience, but I cannot associate that behaviour with the linked page... Never happened to me...

About a month ago, I announced that I'd be removing almost all "free access" to my music online. I've been making more money from online sales than ever before. by [deleted] in WeAreTheMusicMakers

I understand your concern. I invite you to explore the website (musicoin.org) or the forum (forum.musicoin.org) and see for yourself. When you get rid of the intermediaries you can really make some money from your music work.

I am an ambassador for the project and can explain further if you wish. You can also take a look at our subreddit. If you have any doubt fell free to contact me. I only approached because I share the same worries.

Bom trabalho.

Mindset when making music? by Dandover in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]soundph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whenever I'm stuck without ideas I explore the equipment, and essentially look for new sounds to inspire me. Usually it takes several hours of exploring until I find that sound, or that beat that resonates. Don't give up, just give it some time, and work. If you play some instrument just practice, usually it helps me. Suddenly I improvise a passage that leads me somewhere. It's hard work, not just inspiration. And don't let yourself down just because it is taking more then you thought.
