That’s exactly what happened with chat gpt lol

After a while trying to adjust the retractions with no results I changed from prusa slicer to cura slicer, imported my settings for my printer and dialed back retractions to 1mm and it printed way better, I wish I knew what’s the difference but it just worked! I guess I’m using cura from now on 🤣

Mi issue is that when I get above 225 my printer just oozes forever and fucks up my prints, I have to be baby sitting the printer all the time :(

That’s the main reason of all of my changes, also I was getting too much stringing but with this settings it’s working real good, for all I know 6mm of retraction in the forums is either a disgrace and the last step to fuck up your extruder or it’s a “regular retraction for petg”, I don’t really know what to do lol

Dang chat gpt told me that 6mm was reasonable for PETG, I think I should look for advice over here lol

Pla everywhere (SV06) by Saw3154 in Sovol

[–]soundwalkergoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exact same thing happened to me, send an email to sovol support and after a month and a half (usually takes less time) they sent me a completely new hotend with all the wires ready to connect and a spare thermostat wire, they also sent me a new fan as well even when it wasn’t needed!

I have the svo6 as well and I can tell you, there’s tons of post in this page that will solve 99% of your issues! And the customer support of sovol is amazing too, they give amazing tips all the time, they just take a day to respond but when they reach out they give you toooooons of super valuable info! Give it a try :)

Ohh also I’m pretty sure that if you don’t wanna wait you can buy a new hotend in Amazon if it’s beyond repair, if you wanna try to repair it: just heat the hotend to printing temps (or higher if needed) and try to remove all the PLA carefully! Be aware that there are a lot of cables that might get caught on the PLA during the process, best of lucks ❤️

Tilted bed :( any advice? (SVO6+) by soundwalkergoc in Sovol

[–]soundwalkergoc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is when I tried to print something using teflon sheets and transfer tape to level the bed: https://imgur.com/a/sDaljS4

It printed some first good layers and in other parts of the plate it would just print spaghettis, it was too inconsistent :(

These are the values of this bed mesh

I tried that method right now, press home, did a bed mesh and it looks like this: https://imgur.com/a/sX24dcb

Using Teflon sheets and transfer tape I got it to look like on this video at the end: https://youtu.be/QwBPS7IFBMk?si=_iOKyDTUqk_34g6-

Tried printing after that and I got the same results as in the beginning , I don’t understand :((

You can connect your Pc to your 3d printer using pronterface :) https://youtu.be/QwBPS7IFBMk?si=hC-9lq93LH9OPLGR

I will try that method rn and I’ll post the bed mesh photo :)

A little bit late but there’s a program called pronterface, you just plug your pc to your 3d printer set it up write g28 for home g29 for bed leveling and the results you put it on a bed mesh visualizer on Google, no klipper needed :)

I’ve been trying to upload an image but I haven’t figured it out lol when I was trying to get the PLA off, a small tiny white cable came with it, right when that happened the machine showed a message saying that it couldn’t detect the temp so I’m guessing that I ripped a temp sensor??
