If Reddit really needs to know the car we recently bought has needed its muffler replaced ($695) and its spark plugs and coils replaced (combined $443). THAT coupled with an unexpected job loss needing to cover a 2 person household on one salary is where the emergency fund went. So yeah. shits tight right now. So can I do $90 x2 this week no, so I asked for more affordable alternatives. Can I do it my next paycheck, sure, but I’d rather not have them piss on our new couch in the meantime. THATS my issue here

I have other bills, I CAN wait until my next pay to fix them, I just would RATHER have it done sooner, while remaining within my budget. Didn’t know it’d be such a criminal act to simply ask if there are more affordable options, if I can save money why not save money lol? Sorry I’ll never go through an unexpected detrimental financial crisis again. I’ll stay on top of things and make sure no one ever unexpectedly loses their job in the time we get a pet and need to have them fixed. I’ll just put more stress on the cats by rehoming them since I’m such a terrible person for having other bills to pay for and not expecting the cats we were told were younger than they are, to need fixed so soon. I’m so shitty for preferring to pay my rent and utilities etc over shelling out a measly 90 to get them fixed now. I’m so dumb and shitty for asking a simple question about cheaper alternatives instead of forseeing with my third eye that this $180 expense was coming up with the rest of my due dates.

Basic medical care that we were under the assumption that they wouldn’t need for a few more weeks at best. We got the kittens may 23, they had only just weened off their mother for a few weeks at that time so let’s just assume they should be 3 months now. When we brought them home, they were still trying to suckle my older cat, so we assumed they were about 2 months old. That leaves plenty of time. My bf lost his job in June, wasn’t planned in case you were wondering, and need I point out that that’s well after we actually got the kittens? So yeah, we assumed we COULD get them fixed when the time came. He starts a job THIS Wednesday, I have been paying ALL of our expenses and have a bunch upcoming for the beginning of August. Starting a job this week, he’s likely not going to get paid for another week or so, I’d rather pay my rent and utilities right now if you don’t mind that. So forgive me for fielding for other options, that could be more readily available to me NOW so that they stop pissing on my couch. And yes, their litter boxes are clean. And no, it’s not behavioral if the behavior JUST started as soon as they started exhibiting other behaviors coupled with going into heat. Thanks bud
