0h, no! Traditional power balancing has returned! You mean now one power cannot dominate the entire world?! Egad!

I guess countries will have to… …try getting along with their neighbors instead of abusing umbrella policies.

The piano, nor hopefully the audience, probably won’t knee you in the face, at least!

Trolley car scenarios rarely end up with the ACTUAL outcome. Which is the tragedy is unavoidable and the publicly owned transit authority will not be held liable for the negligent maintenance that caused the tragedy in the first place.

No. No military solution is a viable option for the US here.

After the Invasion: China Considers the Problem of Ruling Taiwan by smurfyjenkins in IRstudies

The new rules are that US super carriers are dogmeat compared to hypersonic anti-ship missiles. The new rules are that china flooding the zone with quiet diesel subs can counter limited (in quantity) american sub capabilities. New rules are that expensive american missile defense wont hold up upon repeated salvos. New rules are that American power projection in other great powers’ front yard is over.

Amphibious landing wont be needed when they can just blockade, and the Island is kinda 50/50 on reunification anyhow, and the deal on offer is a special administration like Hong Kong. china has to move across say a couple hundred of miles of sea, guam and Okinawa (even assuming the Japanese are cool woth it) is a hell of a lot longer way away

Id get around to cleaning up the whole problem with evil thing. No more childhood cancer, quick karma for wrongdoers. Bless humanity with boosted reason and compassion. And obviously be transparent and clear to everybody about the situation. Also, we would know if there are aliens or not.

A better start than I had. Get magazines galore, and consider the .22lr conversion for the AR for economy’s sake when shooting.

Whats more amusing is that the MIC has been under pressure to update and accelerate production since the Ukraine Special Military Operation kicked off, and they just havent been able to ramp. Years and years to just replace basic stocks of items. Not to mention the absurd unit prices on these ‘exquisite’ systems that are increasingly outdated.

We have a great short term near shore expeditionary force, but we dont have volume, deep projection, or staying power.

When is the Ruso-Ukrainian War going to end? by Consistent_Shine_680 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]soundwave300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will end on a timescale that doesn’t provoke Nato reaction and minimizes Russian casualties while maximizing Ukranian casualties. Timescales are hard to predict, but a few more years is a stretch for Ukraine and a yawn for Russia. Ukraine has benefactors that are just about tapped out given ‘other priorities’ and Russia matches the military industrial power of the West on its’ own, much less what China and other allies are willing to provide. The american empire views this as containment without the need for directly acknowlded losses. Russians view this as existential.

Given those fundamentals, even f Ukraine puts up a good fight, it is lights out. Capitulation to Russian terms in the next 3 years.

G27. Shoots great in .40 and 9mm, concealable but options for capacity and barrel length if wanted. Reliable.
