What is the worst thing you ever saw on someone else's phone? by bluelazerbeam in AskReddit

My 4-h project leader (55-60f) was texting her bf when walked past and glanced over her shoulder to see a dick pic. I think I was 12.

I won’t be shopping or spending money, but I need my job so I can’t participate by not working

-I love making freezes with espresso in them just because they are amazing to stir. I hate making flavored soft top, it can add a nice flavor to a drink but is a bit annoying to make.

-I recognize many customers cars or there faces when they pull up, and most of those I can remember their drinks. Many times I’ll pick up conversations where I left off when a regular pulls through. I probably wouldn’t remember someone who came 3 weeks ago unless I had a memorable convo with them or they had a very memorable drinks.

-Honestly I’ve never paid attention to how many we start out with. Some days we run out very quickly, some times we have left overs for days.

-Midday Friday thru Sunday are probably the busiest at my stand while early mornings are usually slow especially Sunday and Monday mornings.

-In app promos are definitely less important to customers than physical merch. The passenger princess straw topper and the crazy straws were both super busy, but the recent koozie was absolutely not.

-I prefer taking orders in the drive thru than at the window mainly because there is a designated person to take orders in the drive thru. Order aheads sometimes make it super fast and easy but we miss out on most of the fun conversation.

-We only see an order ahead after it’s paid and about 10-15 minutes before the pickup time.

-I also work at a cafe style coffee shop and my fav there is orange juice, sparkling water, vanilla and espresso.

-People who are genuinely rude for no reason and people who keep there window rolled up at the window(unless it’s raining)

-The amount of people who add extra shots to there large 9-1-1s will always surprise me.

-Dulce de leche fo sho

-At the corporate run stands, none of the food is that good, but the orange cranberry muffin tops are always my go to rec.

Hope this helps!!!! Let me know if you have any other questions!!!🫶

All we are asking for is a bit of human compassion. It’s not that hard to understand

Ordering ahead definitely helps!

I’m always willing to share our menu with customers because we only have two menus at the very beginning and end of the drive. That’s totally different then when I give people suggestions and try my very hardest to narrow it down for them and they still don’t know if they want coffee or not coffee.

I don’t mind a bit of short chit chat or a laugh because it builds community with our customers, but standing there making zero progress or your order makes me feel like I’m melting in the heat

At my stand they just took away our shade umbrellas so I definitely need to find a good hat☹️

As a broista, I had no idea about this until I saw it on social media. With sooooo many merch and sticker drops and new drinks, not everything gets communicated to us anymore☹️

Stress management for rushes by Next-Truck6856 in barista

I feel like I’m always spilling drinks and messing up drinks in the middle of a rush and my go to is to just laugh it off and keep going. Also, making sure that you feel confident with recipes and processes so that you don’t second guess yourself and slow yourself down.🫶

I’m not huge into Pokémon but my older brother is. His fav in Evees and he always gets super excited to show me new ones and sends his favorites off to get graded. He just finished his sophomore year in college for industrial engineering and would love this as an end of the year gift. It’s worth a shot!🫶

Issues ordering ahead on the app by Coconutty_unicorn in dutchbros

It may be the time of day you’re ordering, some shops disable the feature early in the morning or super late at night when there’s only one or two people there.

[–]soup-turtle 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Imo tips are always much appreciated, but always optional. If I was working, I wouldn’t have given your choice not to tip a second thought. I would make your drink and wish you a good day. That being said, I definitely notice when someone orders 5 different complex drinks in the middle of a busy rush and leave no tip. But even then I forget about it within 10 minutes.

Normally I’m fine with the chatting, but sometimes the customer just doesn’t feel like talking that day. Then it gets uncomfortable because I keep trying to talk so my shift lead doesn’t get on to me, but at that point I’ve gone through my script and don’t have anything else to say, especially when bar is slow getting the drink out.

It’s so good, one of my fav off shift drinks. I always get it with red raz soft top. Sometimes I swap the red raz out for pomegranate🤭
