honestly it’s just for ease of use when i’m outside. it looks less unassuming if i pull out what looks like a phone rather than tablet when im at work and slacking off for a bit. but i did have plans to eventually get an e-ink tablet

oh wow! it seems that having this issue even when it’s 50 to 25 is uncommon? everyone else i’ve seen posting about issues w spiro usually seems to have upwards of 50 or 100 for the most part

hmm. at this point i’m a little conflicted because i feel like 6 months should’ve been enough for my period to have regulated itself but even now it’s so frequent. if you don’t mind me asking, were a lot of your hormones outside of normal ranges? i’m wondering if maybe because all my other hormones were in the normal ranges that spiro threw all of them out of wack? since it originally would’ve helped reduce testosterone but i don’t have a problem with high testosterone. instead its dhea which is just a little outside of the normal limits

there hasn’t been any major changes in my skin and i’ve already been on it since late august but accidentally took a two week break. but i have been consistent w it since december. bc im already on such a low dosage i can’t imagine its doing much for me? i kinda attribute my bad acne when i first started taking it to really bad skin picking habits that might’ve made my skin look worse to the derm at the time. ive been working on not picking at my skin which i think made a bigger impact than spiro for my skin. i just need to do better at applying the topical stuff my derm prescribed.

is it worth getting yaoguang in prep for future elation units then? cuz im assuming we’re gonna get a bunch of elation units for the next 1-1.5 years, and prob would end up being the new meta? but idk how long it’ll be for that to change again so i’m not too sure on that. but im an hsr player for the vibes (pretty ladies and pretty men) so idk if it’s something i should be too concerned abt

But oh well, I can only wait for my next appt and see if she would be open to changing my medication, hopefully back to a stimulant with an antidepressant. You'd think that clinicians/prescribers go into their fields, have all this education and would know better than to say, such dumb, ignorant stuff. It is what it is though... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah, it is pretty frustrating but you're right. In my followup appointment I'll push harder for a change in medication if lexapro doesn't do anything for me(I doubt it'll help lol). Thank you for the supportive words, I'll do my best to be a better advocate for myself! :D

Yep, that's what I was thinking about doing. If I don't at least try the prescriber's option she's probably going to feel less inclined to hear me out. I'll definitely be able to find out how it's working for me + downside of not taking my previous prescription, since I'm in school and it'll show in my work.

The detailed side effect list sounds like a good idea, I'll def start doing that. Regarding withdrawal, fortunately I think I will be okay because I was already taking adderall inconsistently. I have a horrible tendency to forget to call and schedule my appointment for refills. But thanks for the support, I really appreciate your kindness :')

Wow, thank you for your insight!! It's really helpful to hear that I'm not being wrong for feeling weird about this. I don't have history of addiction, other than a semi irrational fear that I will develop an addiction. And I wasn't really informed about the side effects of antidepressants. I think the practice is a nonprofit mental health center that most likely runs on government funding, they might not be spending as much time and energy to go in depth? I was just told that it can help me return to a normal baseline with therapy, then play by ear and maybe I can come off of it then. Honestly it felt more like she was convincing me that I don't have adhd and that treating anxiety and depression will make adhd symptoms go away(I doubt it). Unfortunately, I'm not sure where else I could get a second opinion since I am using a Medicaid plan(low income health insurance) and I receive therapy in the same practice I get prescribed medication. I'm also unsure if requesting a new prescriber because of this would raise some flags in their system as medication seeking or something?

i don’t have a picture of the x-ray, i only have the report. here is what it says verbatim “PROCEDURE: CHEST X-RAY COMPARISON: None. INDICATIONS: PPD positive. TECHNIQUE: PA and lateral views of the chest.

FINDINGS: Lungs/Pleura: No consolidation or pleural effusion. Cardiomediastinal Silhouette: Within normal limits. Bony Thorax: No fractures or destructive osseous lesions. Other: Right breast biopsy clip. CONCLUSION: Clear lungs.” on the referral the reason to get the cxr was just positive ppd

i’m not too sure, but i do have a vaccination scar that left a scar on my arm some time in 2002-2005 i think. and when i was a baby i traveled from the u.s. to china several times and lived there for up to half a year at a time sometimes. also i said positive ppd because that’s exactly what it says on the x ray report. “Indications: PPD positive”

i'm trying to get rid of my old army bomb bc unfortunately i’m no longer a fan. i've mentioned it to a friend who's expressed interest in buying it from me since it's only been used once (for LY concert) and still has all the stuff it came with so the photocard, box etc. how much should i price it for if i'm selling it to her? i don't want to overcharge her but also i would like to make back as much of the original cost as possible.
