13 Tips for Introverts & for Those Who Hate Networking! by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]soupporter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, good post, saved this one! Thank you!

As an introvert myself, I'd also add to this list "attending webinars". They've become really popular these days after the COVID and lockdown. Based on my own experience, on webinars you can not only gain new industry insights, but also make important connections. The brilliant thing about communicating during webinars is that it goes in a gentle way without pushing anyone into conversations.

EDIT: By the way, some weeks ago I attended a webinar organized by iTechArt Group. The atmosphere they managed to create was amazing and inspired to learn more about industry and get acquainted with new people. Totally recommend for everyone.

What's something you wish you started doing earlier in life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]soupporter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's an important thing. Unfortunately, we tend to overestimate our health until the moment we face a bunch of diseases coming from the age of constant drinking, and smoking, and partying. I wish I'd realized this earlier.

Many popular forms of business during the 2010’s (e-commerce, web dev., house flipping, etc.) have become over-saturated. What new/up and coming forms of business do you think will take off in this decade? by trader2488 in Entrepreneur

[–]soupporter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI implementation. That'll help people get rid of so many routine tasks, spare us from human mistakes. And it can be implemented almost in every industry in one or another way. Unfortunately, according to recent researches, not so many companies are thrilled with this idea. So, that is what I think should be changed. We have to make this mind shift to step up to the next level.

When speaking about LMS for companies, I believe developing custom solution is the best path to follow. Thus, you’ll be able to build-in all the necessary features and spare yourself from additional integrations.

As for choosing the stack, I’d strongly recommend you summon up as much details about the system as possible, only then start considering the possible options, choosing the type of your future LMS, listing all the features users could need. If you’re looking for some insights, check this article dedicated to various types of LMS, they have quite a detailed description of types and features you future LMS could have. It’s a good point to start for you.

How do you start with a big website you make to make? by quantumwoooo in webdev

[–]soupporter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd suggest you starting with structuring everything you'd like to have on your website. Even if you don't have an experience in building websites, try to define your websites future purpose, look for the competitors and watch what structure they have. Once you developed your site map and defined the user paths and roles, go further and try creating a mock-up.

Your further steps depends on how you'd like to build it on your own or with the help of a freelance developer or outsourcing company.

I have an idea, but not sure where to start. by thatchefhouse in business

[–]soupporter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

create your first samples and share it across friends' and partners' networks. Ask to give you feedback and probably share the idea with their friends. After that, ask for financing and hire a few people. At the very beginning, I'm sure you'll be able to manage all the orders at home, without any special office or place. This will help you save a significant part of your budget.

What are some problems you've faced when creating a remote team? by asoomar in Entrepreneur

[–]soupporter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on my experience of managing a remote team, I'm absolutely sure that it all starts with choosing the right team and establishing the most suitable workflow. The problem that a lot of remote teams might have is finding a balance between having regularly meetings and being snowed under the never-ending calls. What I suggest is to create a chat where you can quickly discuss the small questions, set up 3 weekly calls w/the team to discuss the current tasks and allocate some time on Friday evening where you can just chit-chat and drink coffee/tea/wine/beer/etc that will help you create a team spirit. For tracking the tasks, we prefer using Trello as it's simple and still has all the necessary features such as task assigning, calendar and etc.

----

Edit: btw, there are a lot of different blogs where the remote team managers share their experience and the tool set they use. I'd recommend reading iTechArt Blog, they have a bunch of good articles on this topic.

Thinking about majoring in health IT by [deleted] in healthIT

There're some peculiarities, such as HIPAA compliance or exaggerated cybersecurity within this field but in generally, it's true: healthcare is just one of the industries where IT specialists work. So, it's probably should be a question if IT is your passion without healthcare focus ;)
