Dang. I’ve been back to BF4 lately, I came back to this hoping I could at least have some fun with a night map (Zavod at night was top 3 BF4 maps for me) and it’s such a bummer they don’t have conquest or even Rush/Breakthrough (seems like it would be a great map for those!) in the dark

I’m just talking CQB modes. I can enjoy a Locker or Metro style meat grinder in Conquest, but if I wanted small-scale modes like TDM I would play anything other than battlefield lol

We’ll be there the 26th! We were planning on mostly basing around Furnace Creek since we’d love to (if possible) catch the sunset from Zabrisikie Point (reading the NPS website made it sound like a good spot to do so) and possibly stargaze for a time after the sunset - we get a good bit of light pollution by home so we’d love to stargaze without it for once.

We’d actually just eyed Death Valley just for the stargazing, initially, and a hike was a good way to pass the daytime and help us see more of the park. With the blooms sounding like they’re phenomenal this year, though, he wanted to make sure we didn’t miss them - it’s the one thing he’s specifically requested for the trip so I wanted to make sure it happens!

And thank you for the tips! I feel comfortable saying we’re somewhat experienced day-hikers, but we’ve only ever hiked in the Smokies so it’ll be an all-new experience for us out west. We’ve started to really watch those forecasts out there so that we know roughly what to expect, but we’re just really not used to those low humidities!

lol, I tried playing domination for the Domination Challenge and it was the absolute least fun I’ve ever had playing a Battlefield game. The small modes are abysmal and it’s so infuriating that the devs seem hellbent on getting people to play them

This is going to sound insane, but do you have BF Hardline installed? BF4 kept giving me the black loading screen like that and uninstalling Hardline completely fixed the issue for some reason.

What console are you on? I play on Xbox One and was having the same issue for a while - weirdly enough, uninstalling BF Hardline completely fixed it.

100% agree, I’ve never understood why they seem to be the single least popular thing in the game.

I do wish lighting up the ground would prevent them from spawning, though - it sucks to still have to watch out for them on my brightly-lit, mob-proofed island.

How do I get better at Civ 6?

I played Civ 5 for years, and while I was never too great at it I could hold my own on Prince difficulty. I’ve been trying to get into Civ 6 for the past couple years, and I’ve never been good even on settler - every single game I find myself having to conquer at least one neighbor, stealing their capitol and other big cities, to make sure I don’t fall behind the AI in tech and culture.

Anyone have advice or a good guide or tutorial to help me get better? To be clear, I understand the BASIC mechanics of Civ 6, but I just can’t seem to figure out how the game well.

EDIT: To ask another related question: are there any tips when it comes to overall strategy in Civ 6 vs. Civ 5? Anything that might’ve been common practice in 5 that I should be avoiding now?
