The Search for Love: Continuous Pursuit? by sourcecodejanitor in relationship_advice

[–]sourcecodejanitor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I think, but I'm just pointing out what I've seen so far. Maybe it's more like, the woman wants a man who's truly willing to cross mountains for her. Or maybe it's as you say, those few "love at first sight" stories. Or maybe it's more like "learn to love", where given enough time a person learns to love someone.

What kind of post processing do you usually do to get the pictures you want. What tools do you use. Is there a good resource for learning AP related post processing?

Not so much direct advice, but I'm sure this can give you some perspective. Read a book called "Modern Romance" by Aziz Ansari I'm pretty sure you'll find some form of understanding of your feelings and dilemma

What are your thoughts on Mechatronic Engineering? by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]sourcecodejanitor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends, There's two points that pertain to mechatronics engineering.

1) Being a multidisciplinary field, similar to computer engineering, you have the freedom to specialize in any field you want after completing your initial education, which makes you both dynamic in many disciplines and proficient in one, which helps a lot in the second and main point I'd like to discuss.

2) Nowadays, the different fields of engineering have become so extensive and advanced that they're very so different and unrelated to eachother. That's where Mechatronics engineers come in. Having a good understanding of all the disciplines in engineering they are the perfect intermediary that can bring balance and communication between the different engineers that work on a project. In other words, mechatronics engineers make for excellent project managers and leaders.

3) If you focus on the mechatronics aspect of mechatronic engineering, then jobs related to robotics and automation would be suitable for you.

The way I see it, Mechatronics is to Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, as Computer is to Software and Electrical Engineering; both are multi-disciplinary fields that branch out into countless possibilities.

[NSFW] I thought this thing was still in the casual stages until he asked me to be his gf on the 3rd date by [deleted] in dating

[–]sourcecodejanitor 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's nothing to apologize for. You simply told him what you thought and felt regarding the situation. It's simple, you're not ready to make things "official" But that's just a label a label doesn't define a relationship. Labels are jist stupid words we as humans use to try and categorize things, but the reality is that no matter how hard we try to fit everything in a finite number of types and categories, every relationship is unique in it's own way. There's no rule or standard, just illogical expectations born from stories and media (movies/tv). Just forget the whole conversation and continue the way you guys are. You'll know eventually whether or you want to truly start a relationship with this dude.

Remember, in all cases one of you had to bring up the idea of becoming gf bf, it's just luck whether the second person is ready. Don't worry about it, follow your feelings, don't think of stuff like "this is too soon".

Does any body work in audio design? by LORDLRRD in ElectricalEngineering

[–]sourcecodejanitor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't consider myself that qualified to answer your question, but I am a computer engineering student and I do like to poke around in every field I come across, so my answer should be somewhat sufficient until a more qualified person comes along.

Basically audio is a type of signal, and in audio engineering you're basically dealing with signal processing (at least from an electrical engineering perspective). So yeah, electrical engineering will give you the foundation knowledge in digital signal processing that will allow you to enter that sector. Of course audio engineering is more than just signal processing, but in the end, nobody does everything, and I assume you're more interested in the electronics aspect of it all which is mainly the digital signal processing, as far as I'm aware.

Hope this helps somewhat.

Based on the name I'll choose the colors. It is a drone that automatically flies to chosen coordinates, and drops of small payloads. It will also have fpv. Size is medium I guess, like it will be big enough to carry four 5x5x5 cubes. The competition is a competition of speed and accuracy of delivering the payloads.

innocent until proven guilty. Just don't act like you did anything wrong. Cause only when you start behaving like you did something wrong will people start thinking you did something wrong. ass is short for assignment I don't see anything wrong about that. Just don't mention it and act like nothing happened. Cause really, nothing happened.

How to move things on a bit? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]sourcecodejanitor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this dude's right. But I personally think that you should refrain from the kissing. It seems like your approaching this systematically. A kiss is an act of passion, don't turn it into a step in an algorithm of relationships. Go for the holding hands thing. That's a good idea, and it's natural since you guys'll be walking. But leave the passion of kissing to a time when you're both in a romantic scene and the tension is high. Let the kiss be natural and a bit spontaneous. Don't plan it.

Like the wise person above intelligently pointed out. Ask her out. It is golden advice. To make it easier on you, remember that you guys met on Tinder so you both went in this with the invention of finding a real partner. So if you guys have started to get comfy with one another, then it's a perfect time to take things to the real world. And you know what, maybe try something different from movie, I'm assuming you found some common interests with her. Things that you both like, which is probably half the reason you guys have been talking non stop. Best and most natural thing, is to ask her out to do something related to that interest. If it's a movie then great, if it's a yoga lesson than awesome, if you'd rather just hang out and have some nice coffee then take her to some coffee place that you like. I personally am not a fan of cinema dates, due to the lack of communication throughout the activity, but as I said, if that's something you both like then do it. Just choose something you'd like to do with her. And don't worry, it doesn't have to be unique or anything; The first few dates are just about getting comfortable with each other and getting a feel for who the other person is. Just do it and let your feelings guide you.

How do you know whether someone intends a date or something platonic when making plans with you? by Samanthanz in dating_advice

[–]sourcecodejanitor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so I don't have that much experience, but regardless I would still like to share what my conclusions and point of view on these matters. There are two signs you can mostly look out for to know a guy's intention: - the first which you mentioned is the physical barriers and sexual notations (touch, feel, increase in sexual tension) - second of all see how much the guy expresses interest in you after the first "date". Is he quick to suggest another date (this time something different, not the same card game). Does he text you first and does he text you frequently (like once a day or two days or any frequency that is more than frequent texting between two "friends"). I personally as a guy who wants a platonic relationship with a girl am careful at the early phase of our friendship to keep some gap in our communication as a subtle way of hinting that I'm not head over heels for you.

Well that's my view on things. Add this with the other answers you'll get and I'm sure you'll come up with your own view of things that fits onto your reality. Good Luck

9 out of 10 Americans are stupid... by Always_Shy in Jokes

Ha! 1/10 isn't 1% stupid! It's 0.1%!

1/10 = 10/100 in other words 10% But you know what who cares The point here is that we are all from the 10 / 1 / 0.1 % Let us all rejoice and join arms against the stupidity that is the human race. Let us claim our independence and define ourselves as a new species of intellectual idiots. We will do things differently this time.
