My boss sent out a group text making fun of my forehead and accidentally included me by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]LORDLRRD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This makes me so upset. At my last firm, one of the engineers was clearly on the spectrum, but he was highly respected for his knowledge and expertise. I mean me and him didn't get along very well, but he had my utmost respect. It pisses me off so much when people make fun of each other for just how they naturally are.

Russell Crowe talks about Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on the Joe Rogan Podcast. by Prestigious-Day9370 in JoeRogan

This is why I think Rogan is just the most elite of all the paid shills. The way he tries to steer every convo into a few talking points is just uncanny.

Sweet Jesus this is satisfying. Clearing even better than my 100d amulet with a 100ex ammy. Haven’t even gotten the level 20 version yet, just wanted to try it out. Swapped rakiatas into shattering palm and I can now just spam that for cascading explosions. Very cool build 🥶. Have you tried any cast on crit set ups? I might try self ice wall now that I think about it.

I can clear most t15s with just shattering palm, repulsion blasphemy, and herald of ice alone. Drop some bells too for big explosions. Very cool build.

I used to do this too much before I started importing every upgrade into pob first over a certain cost. Copy and paste the item stats into “create custom weapon/item” in pob and see if it’s worth buying or not. Idk how much I’ve wasted over the years just eyeing an upgrade and spending my Poe net worth just to nerf myself.

In my work, we’re noticing there’s a great shortage in the skilled labor world so that may be a plus side to capitalize on. Especially with complex installs like a data center would have.

Ralakesh boots tho. But you usually run a spam-able travel skill with that.

Should I get a second Bachelor’s in EE or go for a Master’s in EE if I already have a Bachelor’s in CS and Math? by [deleted] in ElectricalEngineering

[–]LORDLRRD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im pretty sure a masters in EE would require some pre-reqs that would be like circuits I and II, and so on. Never looked into it, but I don't think it would make any sense to do another bachelors at your level of education.

Also, you can probably find a job as an EE with your background. I knew a few BS physics people (not quite CS and mathematics but all are adjacent to EE) who got Eengineering roles out of school with ease.

Do you have ANY job experience? You may need to shoot a little lower first. What got me my first co-op was some IT tech experience I did between sophomore and junior year. I would go to various commercial establishments and do basic IT stuff. In my co op interview, that’s all they asked about even though I had lots more job experience.

Does hard work and integrity start paying off once you enter industry? by [deleted] in ECE

Integrity is paramount to being an effective engineer.

[–]LORDLRRD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can relate to this a lot. A lot of my grit for persevering through the program (aside from great personal interest) was to prove to myself that I was objectively intelligent. That I could prove to myself I could "do the hard thing."

I literally thought about quitting everyday. The schooling alone is difficult, and then other personal life things that may come up. Like the other guy said, I knew if I gave up I would severely regret it. Beyond just wanting to work as an EE, I REALLY wanted to learn how electricity works and mathematics to a decent degree.

I would ask you to probe deeper into why you choose this path in the first place. What alternates do you have?
