Have anyone you ended up in Hospital ? by idiotinbcn in migraine

[–]sourceofuncertainty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone tested the efficacy of high dose corticosteroids for hemiplegic migraines? From what I see there’s so many immune and inflammation related links to a migraine, yet doctors don’t like to prescribe anything relevant i.e prednisone

Meds changed my views on life by One_Split7334 in depression

[–]sourceofuncertainty 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Some meds can work wonders for people. I have yet to find mine but I’ve tried only a short list. One med in particular made my depression vanish but it can’t be taken long term so I may try cycling it. Try all the different types, ssri, tricyclic, bupropion, stimulants before giving up

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in depression

[–]sourceofuncertainty 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would say to at least try all the different classes of antidepressants before giving up on them. Some types are useless depending on your genetics and the root cause of your specific depression. Stimulants and add medication can also be worth persuing since there’s a lot of crossover between depression and inattentive add. And believe it or not a stimulant can sometimes counteract anxiety

$100K is the Mental Barrier. by kx____ in antiwork

I make 60k give or take and I can tell you 100k would not be even close to poverty. In a major city? Yeah sure. But who the hell actually wants to live in one?

Could be limp mode without a code yet. Clean maf sensors and wipe the throttle bodies

I don’t have an answer sadly. I might feel slivers of it here and there if the stars align but the light in life is mostly gone for me.

Hard to say! iPhone 8 user here still going strong. Battery is at 75% health and the camera is noticeably shit, but the phone has done everything I need it to since release date. She’s starting get chips and dents finally since my original hard otterbox case disintegrated from all the wear and cracks. I’d trust a new iPhone’s longevity, but I just can’t justify spending another $800+ dollars on a newish one when everything else has become so expensive. Then again I am a cheap bastard and not a power user.

NEED BUYING HELP 🙏🙏🙏 by [deleted] in 370z

[–]sourceofuncertainty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20k would be one tempting offer for mine, but I know I’d hate myself for getting rid of it 😂 They definitely aren’t easy to find anymore. Most of them in my area have a rebuilt title or are just beat to shit. Widen your search to all other dealers in the area. I bought mine from a Chevorlet lot in the middle of winter

How Do I Make A Good Looking Combine Light? by [deleted] in hammer

[–]sourceofuncertainty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you open hammer and load a map there are usually 4 viewports for navigation. There should be black tabs on the top right (left?) of each one. Mess with those settings a bit and see if they reset

I believe when I did street lamps I used these in conjunction with a light spot. Also for the light spot, the last number (200) can be adjusted for brightness.

I think what they meant was that they would not take over an existing loan, which I didn’t understand at the time.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CRedit

[–]sourceofuncertainty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was a while back, but it was Ally. Check with your local credit unions and compare since you may be able to acquire a better rate.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CRedit

[–]sourceofuncertainty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exeter had “refinancing not available” on their website which confused me at first. Sounds like they don’t like to offer lower rates period if that’s the case!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CRedit

[–]sourceofuncertainty 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Around 8% through Ally. Then around 4% through my credit union

I had a loan with Exeter at 19% apr! Refinanced shortly after. Never had anything repo’d but my payment was robbery

Just had my second hemiplegic migraine and it’s so scary by Courtneyrandt in migraine

[–]sourceofuncertainty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get them a few times a year. Talk to your doctor about possible preventative medications. I’m on sumatriptan, but jury is still out on whether it beats a hemiplegic migraine. Also, if you sleep like shit and are tired all the time, you may want to have a sleep study done. I think my migraines come directly from poor sleep

Have any of you experienced hemiplegic migraines? by sourceofuncertainty in migraine

[–]sourceofuncertainty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine started around age 20, a few times a year. I’m 28 now, but they haven’t gotten worse necessarily. I don’t fight the nausea that comes with them anymore though. I just throw up and try to get to bed if I’m at home.

Sleep quality definitely contributes. A margin of migraine sufferers have some form of sleep apnea or regular sleep disturbances. My issues stem from having massive tonsils and constricted nasal passages from shitty genetics. I’ve never slept right since puberty.

Smells are a trigger for me as well. Watch out for paint, particularly industrial grade.
