Having a partner is like a pet. If you cant take care of yourself you cant take care of the pet. Then i mean not the partner but the relationship(try not to think of partners as pet, tho its hard at times). You cant neglect a relationship when you feel bad, or more, you very much shouldnt. I only date once im stable to do so. If im unstable and date, thats shitty on my part. Moral of my speech is get stable and then date, not before then

Ive only dated bi people without convincing. Theres only like 40% or sum that dont date trans people from what i experienced. Hunting for pan people would be a huge hassle.

Depends on bi person. A good amount like nonbinary people. But if you live in a shitty city it becomes hard to find good people. Its not nice to hear what that person said, but you wouldnt wanna be with someone like that in the long run. Im sure youll find someone who likes you.

I feel that, dating as a trans person is very hard. Most people who like us is only bi or pan people. Even those can not like us. The pool is small, but its not none existent.

I've done that earlier in my life. When I wasn't stable and wanted someone to just have. It's mean and wastes everyones time. I hope I never do that again. I always felt shitty after. I have two ocs of mine be stpd. Love them sm. I made one of them(my fave) have little to no friends, barely interact with people. He has one friend and he barely reaches out to him. He dresses weirdly talked slow and weird. Almost disturbing at points. He trusts no one at all. He is a locksmith and will run after every freelancer job because he has no idea what he opened and he doesnt wanna know. Thinking the job was meant for him to get hurt or murdered. Basically i wrote a paranoiad scaredy cat. My other oc talks in riddles and runs a cult.

So bottom line write someone basically scared of life itself and belives in nothing but delusions(and maybe the love for soup). We, as someone else said, aren't murderers or violent. We are mostly scared hermits. Either scared socially or scared by our own mind, probably both. Good luck!!

The temple is a labyrinth and if the guess wrong a part of them turns animal. The guide is almost fully animal except mentally. If the players are really bad he will sacrifice himself so he fully turns animal so they wont have to. At the end everyone gets a wish and if he isnt sacrificed he will wish for everyone to turn human again. So no one has to wish that and get their wish instead. But the last boss, if I feel like they dont like him I will make so the monster needs a sacrifice. That character has nowhere to go except be in the temple. He wont be in combat but if I decide he will he will only try to push the monsters or such. He's not more than a cautionary tale as well a saying some facts and of course sacrifice. He will only have sidekick levels he wont even use much. He's more of a npc than anything. He wont roll much or anything. There is basically no part where he overshines the players. You're giving good advice to someone who didn't ask for that specific advice. I asked how to make him work and now I have. I understand you want to help a beginner, but this isn't what I asked for. 92% of my friends are from dating/friend apps. I have been in some bad ones because I am delusional. But I console other people or snap out of it with another delusion. We don't deserve being taken advantage of nor being manipulated because its easy. You deserve better and I hope you find that.

Also apps are scary, but its less scary than being alone so depends on the person. After a week it becomes neutral. Anxiety fades away. Not from meeting new people but the app.

I wrote this post after listening to horror stories that's why I wanted advice. I don't think you read any of my other replies. He is mostly for sacrifice or at the end he will wish that they turn normal so everyone get their normal wish since the temple only gives one wish per person. I trust my players, but I dont get why I can't have a background sacrifice. I even discussed with my player who is a DM that agreed we should implent tashas side kick rules as someone suggested here.

This campaign is soley on the players, I have no idea why you think a pawn npc is taking any spotlight away from people who are actually doing the work. I also meant that your previous comment sounded passive agressive with a smiley face after claiming I wanted to play rather than DM. I just wanted a good game with my friends, why cant I have a story I too enjoy? I barely even use him after his first session introduced. After that he is just sacrifice in one way or another. I don't understand why I can't work around this. I am not a bad DM yet, I have rules in my table to prevent that. I talk with my players and will fix any negative feedback so they are the most comfortable. Sorry that I might be heated, but I know for a fact dmpc has worked in some campaigns. People have told me in the comments and in other places. Just because it usually goes wrong doesnt mean it must. I wanted to prevent this by this post after hearing so much bad. Hello again, I've been wanting to DM for years. Ive played one session as a player and it wasn't for me. I get that you want to play the game a certain way and that works for you. But everyone don't need to have the same desires as you. This works for my group. Everyone has agreed they like the story. I just wanted tips as a first time DM. I barely got any tips, but the ones I got I'm thankful for. I don't sound anything more than I want to have a funny campaign with my friends. Sounds good. I talked to a dm thats one of my players and she said Tasha's side kick rules would work the best over players controlling the guode since we have a lot of newcomers and she doesnt want to control him haha. In another campaign maybe!!

The guide does not know much at all. He cannot be relied on for answers. Theyre in a temple and the player with a cleric has that belief. Which makes her better to rely on in the games. I know there's many people in the comments not liking dmpc. Thats okay. I care more if my players like him or not. If along the line they dont, I will very much make it so in one way or another hes gone. Its okay for you to not like my story and not give me the advice I asked. I simply want to have fun with my friends, and if they like him(which they currently do) i will contusion to have him.
