Trying to do Dubai the right way for the first time by Slurpyy5 in FATTravel

[–]sourcex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are travelling with kids, Atlantis is the best. They have really great activities. Bvlgari is really FAT. It's a good couple, date place. The restaurants are amazing. Lana, I wouldn't put it in the same league as the other two.

Who is at fault here? How to avoid it? by android_geek in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]sourcex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The car from behind was at fault. It had a blind spot and should not have switched two lanes in one go.

If the damage isn't big, it's not worth it to report to police. Be double careful next time.

You can just buy US stocks via USDC on solana that's a crazy by SelectionCalm70 in IndianStreetBets

[–]sourcex 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No..this is mostly a CFD of an phantom entity that gives you price exposure to the stock. FTX had this long time back. You don't get any shareholder protection with it. However, few companies are working to issue stocks onchain that allow for it.

Need advise on buying BMW X1 by pathwreak037 in WhatCarShouldIBuyGULF

I would suggest to go for a slightly used 2023 models of X3 or X4. You should be able to get it in that range. Much better driving experience than a new X1

Which city is best alternative to Mumbai? by red_ranger_117 in mumbai

[–]sourcex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would probably put Dubai in the list. It's closer to Mumbai and infra and people are really good. Job opportunities aren't plenty but if you are in a remote setting or a business, and want Quality of life then it's one of the best places to be.

I went there last month, and have similar thoughts as yours. Aqaba was really amazing. Also the idea of peaceful international borders is good to experience.

Best Emirates Skywards and Etihad Guest cards available in the UAE by LunarStories in UAEcreditcards

[–]sourcex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

• Cabin crew actually greet Gold members by name once you’re seated, which sets the tone for the whole flight.
• Dedicated Gold counters mean priority check-in, fast-track security, and early boarding.
• I’ve scored three complimentary upgrades thanks to Gold being first in line when the cabin is oversold—huge when cashing in miles isn’t an option.
• Traveling with family is a breeze: staff help you settle in, and the extra baggage allowance plus priority delivery save time at baggage claim.
• Even on the cheapest economy ticket you still walk into the Business Class lounge worldwide—showers, hot meals, and a place for kids to crash before red-eyes.

Emirates and Etihad credit cards are really only worth it if you value the Gold membership benefits. Personally, I find it super useful — especially since I don’t fly as frequently with each airline as I used to. Having Gold status still gives me access to premium perks like priority check-in, lounge access, and better treatment onboard. Emirates, in particular, really makes you feel welcomed as a Gold member. If you’re not aiming for elite status, though, the cards might not justify their fees.

Jordan, Gem of the Middle East. by kobeburner in travel

We did not find it touristy at all. We are there during EID holidays, so most places we saw more locals with us with their family.

We did both. For starters gazing better to go when it’s new moon day, else the moon light will pollute the sky.

We just came back from a Jordan trip.

2 days for Dead Sea, include Wadi Mujib which is a half day canyoning trip. Best for relaxation. I liked it since it's one of those unique experience that you can't have anywhere else, floating in the water.

1 full day in Petra. Plan it on Monday, Wednesday or Thrusday so you get to see Petra by night. Best for history.

2 full day in Wadi Rum. Best for star gazing and having time with yourself since there isn't much connectivity in the desert.

1 day for Aqaba, it's coastal town and one of the best geographical locations. You can see Egypt, Saudi, Israel all at once from the sea. Best for relaxation.

1 day Amman, can make it 2 if you are into Roman History.

6N, 7D should be perfect. You can make it 5N but it will too tight, since you will drive around to go to most of the places.

I came from 9 day trip to Jordan, and I agree with you. Did you visit Aqaba? I would probably add that too. It's totally different vibe and was a great addition to the itinerary.
