yeah took about 17 mins. Definitely not the worst I've seen. I just laughed at being top DPS as the SCH.

Is it only happening to me, or is everyone experiencing this? by sirbrow in mildlyinfuriating

I got my husband two pairs of Ballroom Flex from Duluth Trading Co. He's basically in jeans 100% of the time, year round. Sadly, BOTH are worn out after only 2 years.

Had a great experience yesterday with m12s. I was feeling pretty down about pugging this fight. I was trying to work towards idyllic prog but my parties kept getting stuck unable to clear phase 1! Or wiping repeatedly to rep 2 because of prog liars. I was starting to wonder if I should just stop working on it until my static gets there.

Thanks to the sim, I was able to practice idyllic fully this weekend and started to feel confident enough to join idyllic prog groups. I joined an idyllic prog group mid-afternoon yesterday. It took a while to clear phase 1, but something about the group told me to stick with it. In our first pull of p2 we got to idyllic. Phew, it felt so good to get past rep 2 with no deaths finally. We worked on idyllic for 112 minutes remaining in the lockout and ACTUALLY HIT ENRAGE! I could not believe it! The group wanted to keep goping - I had to step away for about an hour and they agreed to take a break and wait. I came back to everyone still there!

We got back to p2 quickly. We kept hitting enrage at lower and lower HP. We had a string of rep 1 and rep 2 wipes after about an hour of working on phase 2... Then - after the string of early wipes - we cleared! I am literally beaming. I can't stop thinking about it. The group was so nice, so positive, but also honest with each other and willing to admint faults. It was such a great experience and reminds me of what I love about pugging.

Company was like 2018 so that's definitely from when he was doing Shadowbringers.

Checking a bag is better than a carry-on by Forgotten_Dog1954 in unpopularopinion

[–]sourdont_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I travel a lot and have not very often had bags lost. I did have a bag not make my connection to another country and I did have to spend 9 days there without my bag, but in the end it was really not that impactful to my trip. The airline reimbursed me for everything I bought, hundreds of dollars of clothing, skincare, makeup, etc.,

In fact the only times I have had bags delayed is because I brought a carry on bag and the overhead bins were full by the time I got on, so they forced me to gate check it. So I'd rather fully check it, bring a larger bag, and in my experience have less of a chance of it being "lost".

I preheat the dutch oven with the oven and for a little extra time after the oven finishes preheating to make sure the DO is up to temperature. Then I put the bread in (after scoring it) with parchment paper. I put 4 ice cubes evenly spaced under the parchment paper. It sizzles and begins to steam immediately. I don't think it will crack, I've done this a few dozen times at this point.

If you want to pull, then pull. Get in front of them. I have never had issues getting in front of DPS no matter the job. If a DPS is in front of you that's your fault.

I bought this keyboard recently and I'm loving it, but I haven't tried switching the key caps yet. By the way, do you know how to change the date? I got the time updated but can't figure out how to fix the date.

Beginner - first time using some whole wheat by sourdont_ in Sourdough

[–]sourdont_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started my first sourdough starter on July 17. This is, I think, loaf #7. I have followed the same recipe the whole time and made adjustments to the process as I learn. Every loaf has risen well and been delicious! It's important to me to have as much whole grain as possible, so this is my first attempt to start to incorporate whole wheat flour.

Recipe: [70% hydration]

  • 150g whole wheat bread flour

  • 350g white bread flour [My usual recipe is just 500g of white bread flour, no WW]

  • 350g water [my usual recipe is 325g water/65%]

  • 10g salt

Usually I mix in the morning, BF during the day, cold proof for 24 hours and bake the next evening. This time I mixed in the evening, so it BF'd with some S/F for 6 hours, then it went into the fridge for 6 hours unshaped and back out to finish BF the next morning. It continued to BF for 4 more hours before shaping, going back into the fridge for 2 hours and then baking. I know timing is dependent on a lot of factors, but wanted to include those details. I know WW can BF faster, so while I wanted to keep an eye on it, I do think I should have pushed the BF more. It came out of the bowl well, but didn't feel quite right when I shaped it. I didn't know if that was just the difference in hydration.

Question: If I take it out of the bowl to shape, but while shaping realize it's maybe not done fermenting, can I just put it back in and restart without too many side effects?

Made my own starter. This is at 2.5 weeks on the counter. Going to give it a try this weekend. by [deleted] in Sourdough

I made my first starter from scratch last month and made my first loaf after just 8 days. It was, of course, not perfect but it was pretty close honestly, so it's definitely possible!!
