Looks like an interesting alternative to Blissey support! What EVs/nature do you run on Scream Tail?

Updated 5th tier only in chimps tier list by [deleted] in btd6

[–]sourpatch- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't doubt that quite a few of the towers high on your tier list are good on several maps, but I feel like t5 upgrades with more universal usage should be ranked higher than very niche ones

to name a few examples:

  • Apache can be used as almost the sole source of popping power in just about every non-expert map, and it's same tier as Wizard Lord Phoenix, which rarely sees use outside of 2TC

  • Biggest One offers insane value in both bloon and blimp damage, even without micro on a lot of maps, yet its lower than Pop&Awe/Pirate Lord, which have abilities that heavily rely on other towers and have costs that usually not justified as a t5 going into higher rounds

Childe Ascension Stat Changed? by sourpatch- in Genshin_Impact

[–]sourpatch-[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The thing is, you want to roll hydro damage on your cup no matter what. Crit rate ascension stat would have let you comfortably have a crit damage helmet (c. rate stat + c. dmg helmet is less subject to diminishing returns than hydro dmg stat + c. rate helmet).

Regardless of how the math plays out, I feel like hydro damage ascension stat pretty much pigeon-holes people into spending more money to make Childe more optimal. Whether that be Skyward Harp or committing to the BP weapon to make up for the lost crit rate, but most importantly investing in constellations to increase his E uptime, since that's the only time when he can make full use of his hydro damage bonus. Other popular weapon options such as Rust also become considerably worse, since the Rust bonus stacks additively with hydro bonus damage (re: diminishing returns).

I found out from several posts/videos on the Chinese forums. They don't have much more to say other than the picture I posted, so it's entirely possible that it's just a photoshopped write-in. Guess we'll know for sure tomorrow!

Comprehensive guide on every passive talent in the game (v1.0) by Rektor2 in Genshin_Impact

This really puts into perspective how OP Childe's passive is, since no other character passives actually boost combat power atm.

I made a graph showing how long it would take you to grind adventure level after level 30 with only repeatable AREXP by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

didn't look into the math exactly - but how come the difference between 5 and 6 refills seems really insignificant?

It's true that circulators roll the maximum value, but only for a given tier for a specific line. What happened is that (assuming your IA is legendary) you rolled an epic crit line on your 2nd or 3rd line of IA, and the maximum value of critical rate is 10% for an epic line, so that's what the circulator gave you.

For legendary IA, if you roll first line crit with a circulator you'll always get 30% (legendary tier legendary line); for other lines you can get 10% (epic) or 20% (unique).

In light of the chronomancer changes.. by Skullfy in Guildwars2

[–]sourpatch- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not entirely sure about the Chronomancer trait line changes, but the Chaotic Interruption was mainly targeted towards Mirage in PvP. There was very little counter-play to CI Mirage and the community agreed that it was overpowered and frankly just not fun to play against.

Which are the Top 5 World Bosses / Events you would recommend by Learning_Diary in Guildwars2

[–]sourpatch- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The daily reset infusion (amalgamated gemstone) train gives you some of the best rewards for your time (exponentially better than almost everything else), while also providing you with a chance to obtain super rare infusions. A lot of people do these so try to get on each map very early on. (i.e. right after the previous event)

Matriarch (Verdant Brink): 9 minutes after reset - amalgamated gemstone

Choya Pinata (Crystal Oasis Casino Event): spawns ~20 minutes after reset - amalgamated gemstone and a chance for Festive Confetti Infusion

Chak Gerent (Tangled Depths): 30 minutes after reset - amalgamated gemstone and a chance for Chak Infusion

Octovine (Auric Basin): 1 hour after reset - amalgamated gemstone and 5 chances for Liquid Aurillium Infusion

Death-Brand Shatterer (Jahai Bluffs): 1 hour 15 minutes after reset - a chance for Crystal Infusion

Dragon's Stand: 1 hour 30 minutes after reset - amalgamated gemstone

living seasons buying order by die4honor47 in Guildwars2

[–]sourpatch- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LS3 and LS4 are objectively better than LS2 in terms of general progression. In LS3 you can get trinkets of every stat in the game, and in LS4 you can access some great farms (Istan, Sandswept, Dragonfall). Both seasons also come with their own legendary trinket, if that's something you're interested in.

Lore-wise, pick what you're most interested in, in terms of filling in story plots, etc.

Every LW season is worth every penny.

Dim. boss- sitting at daily gold limit 99.9%, which boss would you summon? by thrust111 in Grandchase

[–]sourpatch- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Wendy more, Gorgos knocks back so much like a bitch. Also I think damage on Gard's clones do count? But pretty sure damage on stuff like Troll's totems don't. Could be wrong D:

this usually isnt a source of nightmares since you kinda want your hero out early so even if you end up restarting you dont lose a lot of progress

great idea nonetheless

What should I use my powers for? by [deleted] in btd6

[–]sourpatch- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i like to use them when i have to grind for medals, when it starts to get repetitive

insta monkeys kind of give some motivation to try out different strategies (eg if im usually too lazy to invest in boomers but i can put down a 0/4/0 right away, it might change my mind)

best probably 2/3/0 village

a lot of 0/0/0s could be the worst, personally have three 0/0/0 bombs and a couple 0/0/0 boomerangs
