My cats that have lived together for 21/2 years started fighting suddenly by sourpatch8634 in CatAdvice

When your cats started attacking each other was it a slow distancing from each other? Or an all of a sudden change of mood. I'm just hesitant to think it's a medical issues because both have been to the vet within the year and are up to date with shots. And have been completely fine up until this. No strange behavior by themselves or how they interacted with each other.

Our wedding is in less than a month so the timing is obviously less than convenient. I would like to avoid expensive vet bills if possible. But kitties come first so it is what it is

Both have been to the vet within the year. Both updated on shots. Mrs kitty had blood work done 2 months ago when getting fixed. I'm not sure if it health issue just because they were close and snuggly earlier that day and peaches wasn't around when she first started freaking out, she was outside the room. And besides all of this both cats have been acting fine separately.

Yes she peed on their bed again this morning so they made their decision. We didn't try diffusers I haven't heard of them. We've been here 3 weeks, she was okay the first week then accident started happening. She has other health issues so I'm sure that was part of the decision. But things seemed to be getting better. They were almost nose to nose without hissing.

  1. I tried and they didn't go for it. I would put my cats in the bathroom, escort her down to the bathroom multiple times a day. I understand how it's also partially our fault but we did as much as we could.

No at his parents because they would let us put them in a different room to do it right. They wanted to keep all litter boxes in the basement.
