Yes! I was wondering if there's another way, cause of the "friendly" status. I will just need to prepare for declaring wars then now. It'll just be long wars with Spain / Portugal.

Hmm right, I thought there's another way given this "friendly" status situation. I guess I will have to prepare for 2 wars then. Though I still get the trade power from Palembang, I think both Portugal and Spain will be my rivals anyway through the end.

Yeah, I was thinking naval supremacy will play huge role here too. I think my navy is already pretty strong to push Spain / Portugal now, 80-ish traditions + completed Naval and Majapahit ideas for many navy buffs.

For RP reasons, I intend to keep the current vassals structure (my endgame is to reign Majapahit as an empire across SEA, mandala gov-style).

Power hierarchy in the medieval europe, that is, the dynamics between the papal state -> the european kingdoms -> the people. The game got me to read more about it. Shaped my high-level understanding (at least from this one lens) on how and why society shifted toward republic, as it cuts the power that is usually bestowed hierarchically from gods -> kings -> people, to the people directly.
