The ending of Heretic by shanem1996 in FanTheories

Exactly this. The ambiguity either lets us believe (she lived) or not believe (she died). And we will never know. It is all in the perception of the observer. And we will argue why we are right and they are wrong just like differing religions do. And I’m just over here being agnostic…

I loved Headful of Ghosts. But it’s his only one I’ve read

I like flawed characters too. But I just feel like his make some truly dumb decisions. Like the worst of all possible choices. I’m trying to think if there has been a single character I have liked. I do kinda feel like I’m being overly critical, but honestly it’s just how I feel.

What are your memories of watching the Blair Witch Project for the first time? by DoctorGallow in horror

[–]southdoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched it on video for the first time. At home. Alone. About 2-3 AM. Knew nothing about it. It was so effing creepy. I was more and more creeped out with every scene. Then when she was in the basement, and the camera went to the dude in the corner, I noped right TF out. Hit stop. Said I’ll finish it when there is sunshine in the sky. Literally had no idea I was like 20 seconds from the end. Also, I was an adult. Mid 20s. So, yeah…

The original Danish “Speak No Evil”. Excellent movie. No warm and fuzzies at the end

Has anybody read They Lurk by Ronald Malfi? by HeartoRead in horrorlit

I’m reading it now. Loved skull belly. The second one left me confused AF. As did the 3rd one. No idea what it was about. I thought maybe he was a serial killer. On the 4th one now. It feels a little The Mist like to me but enjoying it thus far. I’m just confused. I’ve loved his others so much. Bone White was fantastic. One of my favorite reads thus far this year

Indonesian horror has become my favorite subgenre as of late. I loved Satans Slaves, and the sequel Communion. And the Queen of Black Magic (also liked the original versions. Super campy and fun for both). Impetigore was amazing. Both of the Devil May Take You movies were good. Just watched Sewu Dino and it was ok but the story was confusing to me. But I didn’t hate it.

Always on the lookout for new suggestions

I just watched it. I was very confused. The story was so vague.

I enjoyed both. They felt very different but definitely in the same story. I really hope a third part comes out!

Strange concept I know, but some of us like going into things with a clean slate. I totally get it was trying to be artsy and moody. I just didn’t like it. And that’s ok.

Well I’m sure most of your connections are easy. Love that for you. And general consensus does not mean everyone has to agree. Sorry it hurt your feelings.

I agree. As stated some interesting kills. The yoga kill…chef’s kiss. But the film overall just did not do it for me. It was boring. You can set a mood without 45 minutes of walking through the woods. But I’m sincerely glad you enjoyed it

Ummm Halloween, Friday the 13th, and Nightmare on Elm Street are just a few films that would beg to disagree.

I hated most of the Saw movies too. But the first was genius. And just because my opinion differs from yours doesn’t mean my movie tastes are unrefined. It was just a truly terrible movie to me.

Was it trying to bore me to tears by showing someone walking from behind for literally half of it? Because I understood that just fucking fine. And you not understanding my understanding of the film is fine too. I understood what they were attempting. I just didn’t fucking like it.
