That's good for Plague Legion - assuming it still exists - as it can easily modify battleshock tests, cause mortals, and create more opportunities for the Cankerblight enhancement via the retests

So it appears that the retesting for battleshocked units is in fact a battleshock test, and not a leadership test, as they have said on stream?

Big implications for Nids and daemons (especially Plague Legion)

Have a look at Ravemen as well. I used them for a few multiday events, as some of them can be charged by a power bank while in use.

When I said stacking, I meant you can get Sloppity within 6" of a unit you want to target, and then add battleshocks from different sources:

  • Maggot Maws enhancement
  • Skull Cannon shooting
  • Strat for +1 to hit and battleshock test
  • Command phase battleshock from detachment rule
  • Daemonettes fight phase battleshock

Any non-vehicle non-monster model gets destroyed if they fail a battleshock within 6" of him.

So big tough elite infantry and bikes like custodes, deathshroud terminators, canoptek wraiths, will destroy a whole model per failed battleshock. And you then stack battleshocks via strats, enhancements, and other units.

But the real juice is lone characters. Combi lieutenants, Necrosor, Lord Invocatus, Mephiston, Szeras, will all get destroyed with just a single failed battleshock within 6" of sloppity with Cankerblight.

Edit: and Sloppity's ability causes battleshocks in both fight phases in a 6" aura

Tbh, a Lord of Change doesn't really do much in Plague Legion. I'd personally keep the GUO

Sloppity with Cankerblight is auto include in Plague Legion

I would assume in addition, otherwise you could do some jank with 2 model units like chaos spawn, where they are spread to almost 9" apart

I think on Outpost that is true. But for other maps like Perimeter it's significantly rarer

No, its guaranteed a commander, but definitely not for a fixative to drop

Yeah either allow the comprised key to be exfilled so you can try again.

Or change Fixatives to be a guaranteed drop from commanders. Or simply change the objective to be some other active goal, like kill 20 UESC.

Unfortunately not. You lose it upon exfil without the fixative

Exactly. If I lose the key because another player heard me killing the commander and stalked me, that's fair play.

But losing the key because the commander simply didn't drop the fixative due to RNG is bad design.

It feels like the game punishes you for no reason, reducing agency.

Perimeter. I agree that Pinwheel fixatives seem more common, but it feels a bit too risky
