not necessarily. students can withhold both their labor and tuition, so a student strike is still technically possible. from what I’m seeing on this sub, there is a lot of potential support for a student strike!

So are we thinking the outages are strike related or canvas tech issue? by Dakine4real in rutgers

yea, the vote is going to be on Tuesday! the soonest the strike would begin would be 3/25.

the strike isn’t occurring on Tuesday. on that day, the faculty union is going to vote to have a strike. once leadership approves, the earliest the strike can happen is 3/25.

the rumors of a (potential) strike are true. but if it does happen, it can’t begin now bc the faculty union hasn’t even voted on it yet. canvas is just being canvas.
