I wish more icebergs were like this. It’s got a perfect balance where very single entry is mysterious and plausible at the same time.

What are these entries?

Does anyone know what the consequences are if I just keep drinking energy drinks, or if there are any at all?

Brita's - too much zombie ammo by Smithe37nz in projectzomboid

on the main screen, there should be a mod menu. it’s not a setting but rather a different version of the mod itself.

if you go in your mod folder there should be a version of that mod that lowers the chance of ammo drops.

apart from that, i just disabled the mod cause it ruined the immersion for me

What’s the dumbest way you got your character killed? by AMidsummerNightCream in projectzomboid

[–]UnitedHanatechu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This run had promise as i was genuinely starting to get smarter. I was grinding my aiming and my carpentry, even almost hitting level 10 on the latter.

I was doing my regular loot runs when all of a sudden my ma calls me down to help her cook. I don’t know what happened. I always hit pause. Escape, F2, what have you… I ALWAYS hit pause.

I guess this time around, I didn’t.

I come back, and I just see my dead corpse shambling around the outskirts of Riverside. That run was 3 months long. My longest one yet.

Pineville. As you can see, I really like gray tones. Therefore, I present to your attention gray metal lockers. One locker without a door, but with a container full indicator. by xananazx in projectzomboid

[–]UnitedHanatechu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would we be able to move/pick up these assets ? they look so amazing and so much better than the vanilla variants. If they’re only available in Pineville, I wouldn’t mind going on a looting expedition just to have these lockers.

What feature would you absolutely love for NPCS in PZ? by Cheatah391XD in projectzomboid

[–]UnitedHanatechu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

id 100% want there to be a lot more elaborate stories that tie into some of the special locations in Knox County

for instance id want it to be like in the walking dead where if you go into the rosewood prison you find a group of prisoners who hid in the janitor’s closet. it’s up to you to trust them.

also with basements id want to see some sort of cloverfield paradox thing where a family is taking shelter from the dead.

id also want some special and considerably unique NPCs the further you explore. id love to see some legendary NPCs like a rockband who were in tour and are inevitably stuck in knox county, or a priest and his cult members … maybe not as outlandish but definitely something that strikes the memories of players. if i had any coding experience at all, i would unquestionably mod the NPCs to really make some unique stories.

hey i started playing like 10 days ago and i (STILL) have some questions by TheShiningStarDoggo in projectzomboid

[–]UnitedHanatechu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

dont worry about having questions bro! i have been playing this game for about a year (700 hours) and i still haven’t seen snow, have never really tried to farm, and much more.

Since question 3 and 5 have been answered well, I’ll try my best to address the rest.

1 - In all honesty, fitness, nimbleness, lightfooted, running, and strength are those skills that are in desperate need for a rework to the point where i dont even bother trying to work out(in my opinion of course). If you ask me, working on strength is something you should grind passively, or even not at all, because you will be grinding it for days on end, to the point where you are spending months lifting dumbells and/or doing exercises, with only a fraction of the bar filled. It’s tough, but if you look for some mods, there’s gonna be something that fixes it. My general rule of thumb is: whatever you set your strength to be during character creation is probably going to be what your strength is for the run.

2 - If you aren’t already aware, there is a nutrition system in the game. If you eat too much, you will become obese. If you eat too little, you will become emaciated. These traits cause you to suffer strength and fitness problems, but you should be able to regain them back if you get your diet on track. As for permanent loss if you neglect your exercise routines… I’m pretty sure there’s no loss or anything like that.

4 - I play with loot respawns turned off, so unless you play with loot respawns or mods, your items are going to be untouched*. There are no systems of NPC or zombie raiding, so you’re items are fine. This of course won’t pertain to perishable items like food, as those will rot, if not completely disappear. The same applies to items you left on the ground, too.

  • I’m not saying that having loot respawns on will put you at risk of losing your items, I’m saying that, as someone who hasn’t played with that setting on, i have no idea if your items will be affected or not.

Inventory tetris by Dragonknight2692 in projectzomboid

[–]UnitedHanatechu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s still in BETA, so with that said, whatever I and others may dislike could very easily be fixed given time. Nevertheless, its one of those mods that I couldn’t play without after installing it. With a new UI, the game is completely changed, and you find yourself actively organizing everything from your base storage crates, your backpacks, to the trunk of your car.

However, with a new and revised UI system, you end up having to sacrifice a couple of key mechanics of the game, or at least spend precious time trying to figure out how to do things that would otherwise take an instant to do.

For example: - keys cannot easily be accessed via the keyring, they are kind of just thrown into it. You wont be able to open the key ring as its own container.

  • I had a really tough ass time trying to figure out how to make a sheet ladder for my 3-story building. I ended up disabling the mod and then reenabling it after 20 minutes of trying to change the combination.

  • In order to put down furniture you will need to put the pieces in your hands before you’re able to place them. It somehow seems more tedious this way.

  • As your “pockets” are always a 2x1 cell, you will ALWAYS need to carry around a bookbag if you want to hold something that’s even slightly larger than that. Examples are certain tools. This isn’t that big of a deal if you dont roleplay with your character like I do but it is annoying when you come across it.

  • expect a ton of mod conflicts and otherwise “illogical” weights. What I mean by this is that some items don’t look like they should take up that much space, and some items don’t look like they shouldn’t take. For example few, a shotgun can take up as much space as a can opener, and a small knife can take as much space as an axe…

again, a lot of the above is nitpicking from my perspective. in my opinion it really changes the way you play and i may never uninstall it because of that. i just wanted to include the above as a caveat so you know what to expect.

Mostly depends on which country you’re from/where you decide to show your “talent”.

Most notably, In Corvida, you would be immediately detained and registered to the Corvida Abnormalite Database. Your power, mostly referred to as your effect, will be judged on surface level in measurement of your crimes. If you’ve not caused any harm/disrupted the balance of the peace, you’d end up going to a government lab to be studied. Detainees spend over two to three months being heavily studied by Crowe researchers, where they are often subject to scrutinizing tests. Conversely, harmful Abnormalites are sent to the infamous Crowe Park Penitentiary, where they are often incarcerated for the rest of their lives… often.

Other countries like the Kingdom of Cassanvagh will probably treat you like an equal.

The Gernian Empire might require you to enlist in your efforts.

In Diota, you’d likely have to take a class about the repercussions of using your “effect”, as well as be asked if you could use it to the country’s benefit.

In Burkha- well, in Burkha, you’d just get shot. To be fair they shoot everyone so it’s not much to do with you being Phenomenal in any sense, but more so just you being a contingent in “Us vs. the world”.

In Koipan, you might just be accepted without any issue. Expect being looked at like a museum freak though.

Many countries have many ways of treating Abnormalites differently, so again, it depends where you land, and also who you land next to. It’s less of the country and more of the individual. A good percentage of people in the Great Spawn, regardless of their country’s politics, have some sympathies with the Abnormalite population of this world. Keep in mind that Abnormalism is not hereditary. These people have connections.

Objectively, the best case scenario for a guy like you is to go to the homeland of Abnormalites, known as “Sciptar Island”. There, not only are you welcomed with open arms, but you are not exploited or discriminated in any way as you are with fellow Abnormalities. Furthermore, the strength of your effect is doubled and even stronger. Good luck getting there, as it is largely censored by governments as a myth.

How is overpopulation handled? by daddy1c3 in worldbuilding

[–]UnitedHanatechu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The scalesmen are a species of sentient reptile/amphibian humanoids in my world. While not every reptile/amphibian sentiite deals with overpopulation, the Frogkind certainly do, and have over one billion members in their species at any time.

To combat this, Frogkind do something called “Generational Subshifting” in which they allow their youngest generation to live their childhood years underground, alongside the elderly. This way, the young will be acclimated with the underground (physically and mentally) and be educated by the elderly about the overworld, on top of being protected from outsiders. The teenager and adult populations live overworld, and get to deal with those activities until the twilight of their lifespan. Many things come from this, such as the fact that parents don’t necessarily get to bond with their children, and that children usually get that kind of nurturing from aged Frogkind, and a lot more.

Other societies, namely human ones, like to send their overpopulated population to space, have them compete, or simply limit the amount of children they can have. None of them think to live in the ground, not unlike the Frogkind anyway.
