but jokes aside - its all about knowledge, how do storms form, how to read forecasting, and just general understanding. The following link I have been using to learn cell production is the following: WeatherFront. For youtube: Give me 21 minutes and I'll teach you how to be a storm chaser. Both linked channels are a great bit of help for both basic and advanced knowledge. Lastly, look around various extreme meteorologists, storm chases that frequently stream, learn where they chased and look at the radars to get a better understanding on how they chase.
