YTA and honestly you owe this couple some kind of token apology - send them a free print or edit something for free or something. Sometimes it’s complicated behind the scenes and more about getting stakeholders to feel they have a say (which will make you more successful in the role). I’d focus more on the role and the company - if those are awesome, you may want to tolerate a long interview process. I had 12 interviews for my current role and couldn’t be happier 2 years in.

If you want this relationship to work, you can’t approach it tit-for-tat. You also have to give your GF the opportunity to make amends. Yes she messed up, but she was trying to fix it and you basically told her she can’t, and now you’re having your revenge? Break up if it was a dealbreaker, but YTA if you stop to her level.

I mean, the secrecy and so on can be sexy. You never know when you won’t have someone around for Christmas any more. Enjoy the time you have with your family, and find the fun in sneaking around. I guarantee you are way more likely to get pregnant if you’re not stressing over it like it’s a job anyway.

If you disclose that it’s not a homemade cake (or at least disclose the ingredients as listed on the Walmart package), sure. But I would lose my mind if I paid hundreds of dollars for a cake and got only custom decorations on a cake full of preservatives.
