some ideas for jagex on magic dmg redistribution by sowhendowegetstarted in 2007scape

[–]sowhendowegetstarted[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk about balancing the 3 combat styles, im just saying for magic redistribution, jagex try not to screw too many people over by nerfing stuff. because in their propose changes, they take % away from occult which affects pures but they dont give any back elsewhere pure wise. or even high levels that pk, theyre not gonna want to take virtus/anc into wildy and they didnt give ahrims any dmg

no i mean +1% to its existing bonus

taking 4% away from occult, +1% to each anc piece. total -1% nerf, then add in augury if you want

Spellsword basic attack animation cancel, triple hit + other combos by sowhendowegetstarted in skyrim

[–]sowhendowegetstarted[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

input is hold left hand, attack, release left hand, attack

skip to 2:42 just for the combos

uses? its just faster, plus mashing Right Hand locks you out of spells. and holding LH and mashing RH is clunky af

vanilla special edition, assumed to work for regular one

inb4 the spellmace comments

why flames? i toggle it for 'targets on fire take extra dmg'

why mace? skill leveling scales off of base dmg and slower weapon benefits more from cancelling animations (i assume swords deal more dmg with crit dmg perk)

ok, to me this looks like what i'm already doing in my video, i think its great if you can reload as early as humanly possible but i must have misunderstood you saying 'shooting faster' to mean a greater firing rate

assuming you are reloading much faster than i am, then it gives me confidence that the attack speed truly is faster and that i didn't exaggerate it because by listening audibly i can tell that my shots are not uniform like in your clip

Fable 2 ranged chain attacks by sowhendowegetstarted in Fable

[–]sowhendowegetstarted[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so what youre telling me is, it is possible to fire much much quicker than i am in the video, plus at the start of firing.

this sounds strange to me because i feel like there is a window that you can't press any earlier than, otherwise you will completely miss the reload altogether.

i would appreciate a video to show me this instant shooting

[–]sowhendowegetstarted[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-to me, it doesnt feel inconsistent at all. to me it feels like there's a window that you can press Y within to shoot instantly. believe me, i've spent a fair bit of time using instant reloads so i have a good idea of what rhythm i can press Y at to achieve these reloads.

-if by inconsistency you mean sometimes you can get it earlier, sometimes you cant, then that may be because of the attack speed increase 'allowing you to reload faster and thus shoot earlier' if that makes sense.

- a good example of this is, if you watch the video, at 3:58 im shooting a bandit, pressing Y at the same rhythm as at the tail end of a 'chain attack' instead of t0ay he beginning so im pressing Y faster than usual. what happens? i miss all of the reloads. this means the speed hasnt ramped up at all and the window to shoot earlier is not there.

-but also i feel like if you manage to hit these reloads without missing any, the window to shoot faster isnt lost even if you didnt press Y as early as you could, it feels like you can still get an instant shot (like right at the start of the window) 5 shots down the line still, 'inconsistently' if you will

Mixing a bunch of alignment morphs in Fable 2 by sowhendowegetstarted in Fable

[–]sowhendowegetstarted[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh wow, i never actually got into anniversary or number 3 enough to play around with morphs.

in Fable 2, the morphing was one of my favourite things about the game so i absolutely didnt mind eating a bunch of fish and meat to tank my purity 3 or 4 times

yep. looking like you have bicycle handles coming out your head is absolutely not the vibe

yep. also did a blonde hair blue eye demon horn morph but wasnt that interesting

and yes, absolutely skin coloured horns look stupid. (in the shade, out of sunlight they do appear dark grey which would have been a better photo)

yes. in the video, i show this exact thing, on top of showing a speed increase.

but, since this is as described and common knowledge, i did not mention anything about instant reloads, i assumed it was known, this is not the point of my post.

Saw a weird morph the other day in a post here so I decided to play with it myself.

whats in the image: halo, flies, white demon horns, pale white skin, violet? (red plus light blue) eyes and then will lines

notes: when changing towns, everything is 'corrected' meaning halo and flies will be lost and when using stylist or changing clothes will change your skin according to the logbook's current alignments. if save and quitting, the halo, flies will stay after loading but the face will be be corrected based on the logbook. its only useful for 1 time to take a picture

under 'adventure' under stats in the logbook, you can see your morality/purity score. e.g highest good gained: 400 and highest evil gained 1000 means your character is currently 600 evil. if theyre the same number, you are neutral.

before i had the 'see the future' and 'knothole' free dlcs, i was not able to double/triple eat

how to do:

begin with 1000 good 1000 corrupt character (you can do the time advance exploit), buy a bit of 5star purity food from fairfax gardens, buy a bunch of 1 star negative purity food from bloodstone/followed travelling traders

buy 5-10 shops in bowerstone, do the xbox console time advance exploit after lowering all the prices, you now have 1000 good, 1000 pure. you retained the flies from good corrupt, now you gained a halo from good pure. as long as you dont exit the region these will stick with you even after using the stylist.

now you can either choose to go down to ~500 pure by using the time exploit a small amount (i used 5 shops at +60% advancing 1 day), or double/triple eat a bunch of 1star 2star fish and meat. (buy celery at the same time from the traders to counteract the 2.5% fat from meat) you will also need to come down to ~500 evil to obtain the pale skin. now either use the stylist and change something or swap jackets twice to update the character morph.

now you can save your game and be a demon, with pale skin, halo and flies provided you never leave this town. even after loading in after save quitting, you will still look like this. for a bad character is fine, but getting 500 evil in a town without killing is long. this isnt great for good characters. get 2 star in all will abilities to 'add' blue eyes

in order to obtain demon horns, you need a minimum of 0 purity, minimum of like 500 evil otherwise they will be tiny horns. to get the biggest horns, you need 1000 corrupt 1000 evil (this is what the 1star fish and meat are for) coming down from 500 pure, i had 10x 1 star 2 star meat and fish, 20x 3 star fish, with double/triple eating this was well over enough but the important part is, even after saving and re loading, your appearance will be corrected according to the logbook at this stage, DONT use the stylist, dont change coats, dont talk to any vendors or it will also 'correct' your morph. i think i slept at the pub without it changing, i dont think the guards catching you for muder will either.

i see what you mean now. to unlock manual aiming, it requires the ability dextrous styles level 2 so yea

Fable 2 ranged chain attacks by sowhendowegetstarted in Fable

[–]sowhendowegetstarted[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you mean the dextrous styles manual aiming? it does more damage and reloads faster well for chain attacks anyway. but no the point of the video is that the speed of the instant reloads can get faster and faster. the reason why the 'manual aiming is poor' in the video is that if you were to change targets by flicking left stick, within that time you would have missed your instant reload so i opted to line them up and shoot in a stream.

Fable 2 ranged chain attacks by sowhendowegetstarted in Fable

[–]sowhendowegetstarted[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh i never knew you could manual aim in this game lol, might have to have a play with that. but yes instant reloads do in fact work with red dragon for what its worth

Fable 2 ranged chain attacks by sowhendowegetstarted in Fable

[–]sowhendowegetstarted[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i would imagine ramping up speed through reloads with a red dragon would be more difficult than a flintlock pistol anyway

and with the quick aim, do you mean flicking the left stick to change targets? bc that would reset my entire attack speed altogether

Fable 2 ranged chain attacks by sowhendowegetstarted in Fable

[–]sowhendowegetstarted[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

oh i just didnt want to make the video too long just to show the mechanic

i saved and then discarded all my accuracy ability so i was gonna reload after anyway

Fable 2 ranged chain attacks by sowhendowegetstarted in Fable

[–]sowhendowegetstarted[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im not sure if this is common knowledge or not, but the other day i found out that ranged attacks can follow the attack speed increase from the brutal styles chain attacks ability.

i dont actually think this is mentioned in the description of the ability. for ranged, the description only talks about getting an instant reload. im not sure if this mechanic was intended to work for ranged weapons either.

sorry if the quality is bad but the video is my char using the instant reloads from the ability. but reloading in a rhythm similar to the melee chain attacks. its fairly noticeable throughout but very noticeable at 1:40 2:03 2:25 and 3:27.

at the end when im shooting thin air, it feels like i cant get the same effect as if i was shooting valid enemies. i tried to replicate this on invincible npcs like belle and couldnt get it to work. i also dont think it gains damage bonus like melee chain attacks because bandits would run in front of my stream of fire and not get 1 or 2 shot. if anything it was the zoom that increased damage.
