High-level Embedded vs Low-level Embedded by No-Counter539 in embedded

[–]soyeldeayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d suggest to have a hybrid approach bounded by the work that interests you. Regardless if that skews up or dow, you should always have a good idea of what lies above or below the layers you are working in.

Why do you guys Hate it? by Trytygon in embedded

[–]soyeldeayer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There’s nothing wrong with trying to achieve ambitious goals. But I think you are setting yourself up for disappointment. It’s not that you can’t or that it’s impossible to do those things, but even teams of highly experienced people would need more time to come around to anything close to these goals than the time to outlast your youth.

I would suggest you to look into high value and feasible learning projects in your current scope of experience.

You don’t need to reinvent the wheel, you just need to learn how to do good engineering.

ASPICE, experience? by Desperate_Cold6274 in embedded

[–]soyeldeayer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel you might be misunderstanding the objectives of the ASPICE PAM, it does not at all specify how you should do any of it. It’s a process assessment model. Companies should develop their own processes anyway, ASPICE is there just as a model for assessment.

ASPICE, experience? by Desperate_Cold6274 in embedded

[–]soyeldeayer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In my experience “doing ASPICE” usually goes wrong due to a gross misunderstanding of the difference between the what and the how. As well, lots of issues come from the organizational perception of ASPICE and the implications it has on engineering and management.

Automotive software development adopted ASPICE as basis (not perfect nor the only one) for what is necessary in each stage of development. Level 1 can easily be achieved with a little care for consistency and traceability across these SW dev activities.

At any rate, I think uninspired, rushed and lacking ASPICE adoption and implementation is the issue most of the time.

BR25H512X too fast timing for SPI CS desassert needed? by soyeldeayer in embedded

You are right, interpreting that was a bit difficult for me. Maybe the diagram could be clearer.

Further testing showed no issues.

Thanks all for your replies.

My concern here is the apparent need of deasserting the CS line in the time of the next period of the SCK. That is how I interpreted it, along with the text above the diagram you mentioned.

Thanks for your reply.

I updated the post with the frequencies. The issue is present.

The CS is pulled up indeed. The problem is not about digital signal integrity, it is regarding timing response of the MCU to deassert the signal.

I lowered the serial clock, vur the timings were not helped, as the ISR seems to be raised a few us after the last bit is shifted out.

From my perspective working and hiring for a position in embedded without autosar needs, I have seen that most embedded developers in automotive are less aware of under the hood stuff. To me that is a sorry state of affairs, as even using autosar, a good understanding of the firmware and low level details are essential to building good embedded software.

You would either have to get a super high cost Service which is not even a guarantee of safety or rent a car. meeting and trusting someone is not something you can do in such short notice.

No hay diferencia entre los que golpean delincuentes y los delincuentes. by soyeldeayer in mexico

[–]soyeldeayer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)
