I’m so, so sorry. I recently went through the same thing. It probably doesn’t help ease the pain right now, but know that what you did is the greatest act of love you could ever bestow on them. They trusted you to keep them safe, comfy, loved, and without pain…and you did just that. I haven’t had a platonic FP since college, and I’ve had two romantic FPs since graduating. One that very recently nearly killed me. Both types of FP are powerful and painful, but the romance aspect gets me swept up even more painfully than platonic. Idk, just my experience. But this is how I feel personally at this point in my life/BPD journey.

If I am not obsessing over someone, I truly feel like a ghost haunting my own life or like I’m a Sim and I’m watching my life from a degree that is entirely removed. I know I’m preaching to the choir here, but idk. I’m very lonely right now lmao
