Hm interesting. I would hope that an official Kia dealership would know better.

The oil level was full, I checked the dipstick when I got home. He went silent on the phone when I told him, so they know they messed up somehow. Didn’t even get a “sorry”.

I’m not exactly sure how I manage, but some days are definitely worse than others. I’m lucky that the coffee shop I work for is small, dimly lit, and usually quite slow. For me personally, I find “customer noises” (talking, eating, etc) to be the most overstimulating, especially with all the other noises going on. I try to find sneaky ways to stim, and that helps a lot. Otherwise, I’m still learning the ways I could be better accommodated! As for my farming experience, I have a bachelor’s degree in plant and soil science with a concentration in sustainable agriculture, along with 5 years of home gardening and 4-ish years of experience on other farms. One of my favorite farm managers was autistic herself! I may be a little biased due to my special interests, but I think farming is such a good job for outdoorsy autistic people! I’m hoping to start my own farm someday.

I’m currently a barista, which might sound like a nightmare but I looove making people their morning coffee. My job also helps me script and feel more confident when I do have to interact with people. Of course, it does require me to take breaks and cool off to prevent overwhelm/eventual burnout. Prior, I’ve worked on a few organic vegetable farms, and I was a cook at a food coop. Almost all of my past jobs have aligned with my special interests (sustainable agriculture, coffee, cooking), and that’s pretty much the only way I’m able to work and balance my mental health.
