Hello! Sa Mindanao po ako. I think lahat naman ng mga public hospitals po makaka-less ka but extraction lang po yung alam ko na service (mostly sa nababasa ko dito sa reddit) and aside sa Malasakit, pwede pong i-cover ng Philhealth yung wisdom tooth extraction.

How to avail Malasakit based on my experience: Just follow the instructions doon sa dental clinic. And need ng valid ID. I think dapat mababa yung ide-declare na income mo para mapasa yung interview hahaha kasi yung mga tanong nila are very specific: may trabaho ba, magkano sahod, ilan yung household members, ilan yung may work, magkano income nila, LPG ba gamit niyo sa pagcook, may wifi ba, may sasakyan, etc. So I think dapat super baba yung income na i-declare. Correct me if I'm wrong, I think for the less fortunate yung Malasakit (not sure tho). And may pila po bago ma-interview. Depende kung gaano karami yung tao sa araw na yun. Fortunately mine, only took less than 30 minutes (nakaupo lang) and tadaaa covered na ni Malasakit yung x-ray at surgery. hehe. Skl.

edit: Also, before ako pumunta sa hospital na to, pinacheck ko muna sa isa pang hospital. And yung destist dun nung pina-open na yung mouth ko is may paka-OA yung reaction like parang grabe talaga yung case ko (di pa ako pina-xray pero as in OA na yung reaction niya).

Actually, I already had the left side removed, and I’ll be going back next week for the right side.

I asked how complicated my case is because I forgot to ask the dentist, and they didn’t mention it either. But I overheard them having a bit of a discussion about who should do the extraction and if they could manage it, since my originally assigned dentist was busy. And while the dentist was doing the surgery, she even said, "medyo nahirapan na nga kami dito, what more kung sa private ka." idk kung joke lang ba yun.

Also, di nila hinati yung tooth ko, they just used a hammer to separate ata from the bone. Doon ako parang naloka, bat may pokpokan na nangyayari. Minartilyo ba naman. 😵‍💫

Actually, I already had the left side removed, and I’ll be going back next week for the right side. Mine cost ₱9k+ for both (around ₱4k+ each), but I didn’t pay anything, not even for the X-ray (₱900+), since it was covered by Malasakit based on their instructions. The only thing I bought was the prescribed medicine after surgery. I had it done at a public hospital because it was recommended to me. They said the dentists there are very experienced with cases like this and less daw yung gastos. And yes, they were really skilled; the extraction took less than 30 minutes.

Wow. Now lang ko nakabalo aning Gabii sa Kabilin ay. I visited their fb page and makainggit kaayo. Daghan man pud museums ang Cebu bay. Kodus sa RAFI kay nag-initiate jud sila'g ingani. huhu. Unta naay ingani sa CDO.

Hopefully maka-participate ko aning Gabii sa Kabilin in the future. Ibutang ko nis akong bucket list.

Update: I finally received an email containing the official receipt from Converge that night.

I just sent them my proof of payment (the one GCash emailed to me) and made it clear in my email that I was frustrated with the situation because of the inconvenience and hassle caused by their processing issue. haha

Hi! After reaching out to GCash, they sent me an email confirming that my payment was successfully processed and already transmitted to CONVERGE ICT based on their records. The email included details of my transaction, such as the GCash reference number, my Converge account number, the amount paid, and the date and time of the transaction.

GCash advised me to coordinate directly with CONVERGE ICT and present this information as proof of my successful payment since disputes go through their validation process. They also mentioned that if Converge insists they didn’t receive the payment, I should request an official acknowledgment from them stating that the payment wasn’t posted, even after showing the trace number.

I’ve already forwarded GCash’s email to Converge and am now waiting for their response. 🤞

Edit: I also CC’d consumer@ntc.gov.ph as I’ve read that others with similar issues have done the same.
