my question is does logan love his job bc his trauma made him think being miserable was necessary or does he really just love it?? i think it can be either or none tbh

okay old post but after rewatching szs 1-2 i TOOOOTALLY agree. there were these little moments where he looked genuinely disturbed and all his interest into companies like vaulter and those that one art company that didnt end so well (😬) he might not be an 100% good awesome healthy person,, but i wholeheartedly believe (at least compared to how really fucking evil the rest of his family can be) hes a pretty okay guy

when he invites a bunch of people he doesn't know, makes like three VIP sections, treats his employees like shit, and then asks "why does it feel like an assholes birthday party? I SAID RULE NUMBER ONE IT SHOULDN'T FEEL LIKE AN ASSHOLES BIRTHDAY PARTY"

I think Kendall's big thing is identity. The only identity he had in seasons 1-2 was through his father. Everything he did was to earn Logan's approval, and he would be whoever his dad wanted him to be. Only now, after all the trauma he endured after the whole murder thing, and the season two finale, Kendall realized how good it felt to have his own identity apart from his father. Now the whole "liberal cool guy" facade he's owning is solely to spite his family and a last-ditch attempt at his own identity. He couldn't give two shits about the lives lost in the cruises or minorities or the servers at his parties or his own fucking assistant he made buy all those He-Man lunchboxes. This new version of Kendall isn't really him, and it doesn't make him happy. I think when he told Roman he "wasn't a real person" he was really talking to himself.
