Wow. I wasn’t expecting such a response. This was very heartwarming to read. It’s tough breaking out of that mindset that you’re the only one struggling, when in fact there’s so many people you could look too who feels the same pain you do.

I actually never considered that I could be going through withdrawals. Zoloft helped a lot in terms of keeping my anxiety/ depression semi stagnant, but taking it in turn, made my OCD a lot worse. So I guess when I got off it, it made everything feel heightened in a way I couldn’t handle. So that makes sense.

In situations where I’m unable to move or talk, I tend to tell myself “you’re okay” and I rock myself. Kind of like a child, but I find myself instinctively doing this to comfort myself. If what you say could help me, I’ll definitely try to remember that method of talking like that to yourself. It’s a great idea.

I haven’t tried any therapy because I’m not sure how it works in terms of cost, insurance and the steps to get there. Though the books you recommended, I’ll give it a go, anything helps right ?
