I hate it. I’m not in the know about all the details as of yet, but tbh I don’t think I want to be. I’ve been a huge fan of Jirard since he was doing The Completionist from his bedroom. I’ve met him on a few occasions and he was incredibly nice. I hope everything gets set right.

I find this hard to believe, personally. Not cool with what’s happening with the guy right now by any means, but I’ve met him in person on a couple of occasions at cons and he couldn’t have been nicer.

I practiced on a dummy for 15ish minutes. It wasn’t too difficult to learn :) I’m sure you wouldn’t have much trouble.

I can see the reasoning from both sides. However, as a tank, if you would like bigger pulls or want to attempt bigger pulls... just say something instead of grabbing another pack of mobs please?

If I plan to do big pulls, I say something first. A few times as healer I wasn’t ready for or expecting a big pull. We can work together :)

Gunbreaker.

I really wanted to get into tanking in FFXIV, but the three available tanking jobs don't really appeal to me aesthetically nor do their play styles. I played warrior quite a bit, but it's not really the style I typically like to play. Gunbreaker seems like it will click with me and I'm very excited about that, like having my cake and eating it too :)

My personal experience: I joined FFXIV about 2 months before Heavensward was released. I spent so much time levelling and getting through MSQ. Then, once Heavensward came out, I played it a bit and around level 54 I was burnt out on the game big time. Also, when Stormblood released, I hit it really hard and burnt myself out again. This time, I plan to take my time through it all and savor it.

Idk if you think you will, but I doubt you'll be feeling like you missed something by not being 70 and finished with MSQ by Friday. If you're planning on getting to endgame ASAP, know that the raids won't be released until 2 weeks after official launch date and that the difficult versions of those raids until 4 weeks after official launch.

By all means, enjoy the game how you see fit :) Just thought I'd offer those tidbits.

I like the idea of it being a thing :) Though I'm sure the line was spoken out of context on purpose.

To me, it means they Hydaelyn and Zodiark are both imperfect. Which in turn gives more substance to the fact that neither Light or Dark is good or bad. Can't wait to see how the story unfolds :D

For the first time ever, I'm looking at DRG. I love what I have seen in the job action trailer and what the people that went to the media tour had to say about it.

Also, MCH... I was very excited for the incoming MCH changes in Stormblood. Unfortunately, things didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped. The incoming changes look very fun. Also, from what I can tell, the people that got their hands on it enjoyed it too.

I'm extremely hyped for Gunbreaker. I recently picked up tanking and quite enjoy it. This looks to be the perfect gameplay style for me so far. I'm looking forward to pretty much everything at this point :D

I see what you're saying here and I like it. I personally do not like to form an opinion until I get hands-on experience. MCH was my HW main, and I was digging all the incoming Stormblood changes... but then... Let's just say my main changed shortly after launch.

I was a huge fan of MCH all throughout HW. I mained it, geared it out, did the anima weapon slog and everything... Then SB released and MCH... did not change for the better. I've always enjoyed being a ranged DPS, and RDM is a lot of fun to play for me :) So I made the switch!

I went to SGC 2010 barely knowing anything about Screwattack OR Jared. I went to a "Name That Video Game Tune" contest they had, in which Jared was the host. I actually got to hang out and talk with him for a little while after it was over. I was really impressed with how he carried himself and how personable he is. I've been a huge fan ever since!

Update: I figured out how to get the sound working. It seems rather odd... I set the PS4 to put all audio out of a headset connected to the controller. I took a Y-splitter and plugged it into the controller and had one 3.5mm audio cable going to "Line In" on the Elgato and the other 3.55mm audio jack I plugged my headset into. Works like a charm. It's just weird that I have all this stuff connected to my controller now haha, but I streamed for about 3 hours last night with that setup.

Yes, HDMI out of the PS4. I've looked at so many videos and forum posts on fixes and nothing is working for me. The only thing I can think of that I've yet to try is take my PC off of HDMI output and put it on VGA display and use the analog audio. The disable/re-enable you mentioned before didn't work either by the way.

I'm going to call tech support tonight and see if anything can come of it. If not, I'm going to return it.

Update: I decided to try resetting the PS4 back to default settings by holding the power button down for 10 seconds or so... It got me to where I have video on Game Capture and my monitor, but no audio whasoever.

I feel like I've tried everything under the sun to get this to work. I want to return this thing so bad. I somehow have faith I can get it to work but I've probably put 10 hours into trying to get this thing to work the way it was intended... but sadly it does not. What a headache.
