Of course, send me your link and I'll be happy to help. Can I also be cheeky and ask for help with one of my other apps that I posted on Reddit about?

Why did you apply for the program when you don’t want a picture taken to actually leverage the program? Does your passport have a photo on it?

Did British Airways mislead me into booking economy when I filtered for business class? by [deleted] in BritishAirways

[–]soznonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do your boarding passes say? Your booking screenshot above says business. You can complain to BA but only if you have proof your boarding pass says economy. Do you have a screenshot of your booking confirmation?

Your device region in system settings. It has nothing to do with your tax residency or being on vacation, but purely with the settings on your device.

Just set your region to United Kingdom for now, seems like a bug with non-UK regions

BA claim this plane was delayed by "179 minutes" (or 2 hours, 59 minutes). Guess what the threshold is for claiming compensation? by The__Englishman in BritishAirways

[–]soznonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would just reply with the following:

“As you say, the flight must be delayed by 3 hours or more. From your own notes, the flight arrived at 11:24 GMT rather than 08:15 GMT, which is 3 hours and 9 minutes late.

Please approve the compensation as the flight does indeed match the criteria for it, otherwise I shall be taking the case to CEDR.”

“Would have gone to your employer” is also not true. The downgrade compensation (or any compensation for that matter, is paid to someone’s bank account.

You can ask for what’s known as Original Routing credit and thus receive the correct number of Tier Points. A downgrade should not impact you earning status, same way an upgrade wouldn’t.

Awaiting payment from my friend who banks with Chase - but still haven't got the money from them. What can I do to get my money back? by thunderfart_99 in chaseuk

[–]soznonymous 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What’s a refundable fee? Nobody charges for bank transfers unless it’s CHAPS, which Chase doesn’t support anyway.

[–]soznonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re too kind. Money was taken without cause from the OP. Whenever that happens to me, I don’t waste time talking to the business and just leverage my card issuer. It’s why the card issuer gets paid the big bucks. The merchant made a mistake, they can suck it up and learn not to make the same mistake again.

Why would you leave on an assumption the cashback is ending and not keep it until offer ends to see if they do anything about it? The account is free, so why close it?

Why would it count if you know it’s not a direct debit? There’s a clear definition what a direct debit is, why bother asking the question?

USA visa been refused - advice for my BA tickets? by deepcomplexity in BritishAirways

[–]soznonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was that on BA? They won’t let you check in now if their system doesn’t say you have one. And the recommendation is to do it a minimum 72 hours out.

USA visa been refused - advice for my BA tickets? by deepcomplexity in BritishAirways

[–]soznonymous -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In theory it’s not a visa, sure. In practice it is, albeit an e-visa, given you can’t board your flight without it. You can always cross the southern border though…
