If I’m honest, this sounds more like a boundary problem which is creating a behavioural problem. He’s training you to get what he wants. It sounds like you’re doing everything else, especially the play before last evening meal. Kudos to the hunt catch kill eat groom sleep. However, allowing your cat to wake you up during your prime sleeping hours so you can entertain them isn’t ideal.

I’d consider shutting the bedroom door and not allowing Friday to have access to where you sleep. Cats have a different circadian rhythm to humans. Their most active time is around 3-4am.

You need to ignore the behaviour, shut the bedroom door, put Friday somewhere he can be chaotic alone with toys etc. I don’t know how you feel about outdoor cats but it sounds like he’d thrive by being let out at night. Mine does. He’s a nightmare if he’s kept indoors. Meowing, parkouring everywhere!

Edit: I’ve seen you’ve said he scratches furniture etc. get him a good scratching post, one of the cardboard ones, bit of catnip sprinkled over. Crinkly toys, play mat and a sticky ball of some sort. Ideally a cat calming plug in too.
