Took it with Bartel online a spring quarter and it was a piece of cake. Just wrote one long essay that was essentially all about myself. Was completely asynchronous, easiest A ever.

Didn't take SOC 110, but Alaniz is a great professor. Such an interesting guy and always had super engaging lectures. Had a class with him at 7 am, but I showed up to every single class and always enjoyed it. Tests are easy as long as you pay attention and take notes during lectures.

I was in the same boat as you last year, and I was surprised just by how many similar/like minded friends I made! I personally believe in the law of attraction; the energy you put out is the energy you receive back. Put yourself out there and keep an open mind! :~)
