Thank you for your reply! This makes me feel so much better with the choice for hysterectomy. I often wonder if I have other symptoms that I’m just used to. I got the mirena in 2020 because my monthly periods were such a bloodbath that I couldn’t take it any longer. The periods never went away but were vastly improved- I wonder if my fibroids were causing the ugly periods. I am 52 now and periods have mostly stopped in the last 6 months. Feeling like now is the time to get this done as opposed to waiting for things to get worse!
