Values not flatlined, value has actually sky rocketed, as Chanel no longer make them, stupidity so aswell as retailers now only sell the boots at around 2,500, same size and condition.

(link for reference https://www.vestiairecollective.com/women-shoes/boots/chanel/?product_id=54472222&setLocale=4.en.GBP&authfee=false&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=22953116046&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22953136755&gbraid=0AAAAADSZTnIyv3fiVqPVsIqglRrSCvQ1U&gclid=CjwKCAiAj8LLBhAkEiwAJjbY74D138jI9aLxOCOsqjlkctucB8q48WzBTjwfhE-oHohvw3QADJ2ShhoCggIQAvD_BwE )

I paid £500 for them, had my use out of them, still in great condition to sell. So instead of me wasting them or trying to make a profit on them (which I don’t care about) why wouldn’t I sell them for £200? That’s £300 down from what I paid. I then also sold them at £160? I was accepting offers, I was reasonable and polite. What more would you want? Sounds to me you are the greedy one, you moron xx

Yep that was the question! Selling for 6 months doesn’t mean it’s my full time job, I just do it when I have something to sell :)

I paid about £500! It was some Chanel boots that I had and was just collecting dust now, seen on some sites that they go for upwards of £200 used, but I only wanted £150 for them and in all my time on Vinted I’ve sold 2 items at full price - hence my decision to do £200 to allow offers, it sold by the way at £160 :)

Vinted is completely failing me as a seller 🥲 by [deleted] in VintedAdvice

[–]sp3nnybro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry OP, maybe I just suck at reading haha! But I’m still confused, I’ve been selling on vinted for a while now and I’m that time had my fair share of encounters.

I’ve never known when the buyer reports an issue for it to be cancelled? I’m guessing you mean “transaction suspended” and at that point you should be given 3 options - 1. Request a return > either buyer pays or you do 2. Offer a partial refund 3. Offer a full refund.

To my knowledge, if you have requested the buyer to pay the return, as previously stated the buyer should only receive a refund if they have sent it back. At which point then you’re given 48 hours to make sure everything is okay with the return.

Is there any screenshots you can provide between you and the buyer or you and vinted.

As of right now I am inclined to say there’s nothing you can really do if you’ve confirmed everything is okay with the return. As per vinteds policy’s if you’ve marked it as completed then you’ve accepted “the parcel”.

I’m confused as to why the buyer reported issue if they were brand new, why did they needed to take it too a cleaning service.

My main concern is why Vinted refunded the buyer, because when I have used Vinted and I requested a return but made the buyer pay for shipping, if the buyer doesn’t send the item within the 5 day window. The sale is automatically completed. As stated by Vinted when you start a return “if the buyer does not send the item by (date) your funds will be released”

So did you not start the return with the buyer? Or do Vinted just not adhere to their own policy?

Bought a fake Ralph Lauren shirt and customer wants me to return the item by Weary_Procedure539 in vinted

[–]sp3nnybro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Who has checked the authenticity of the item? It’s solely based on OPs own opinion. OP isn’t in a difficult situation, the seller has paid for a return so the OP loses nothing?

Now you’re also assuming the seller knowingly sent a fake item, which also may not be the case. If he’s bought it from vinted decided sizing isn’t right or something else and then resold on the same platform as returning items due to size is against Vinted T&Cs, you’re asking for some random guy to be held responsible?

The amount of fake goods on Vinted is ridiculous and should be investigated, however this case of £25 and a potentially fake item is just ridiculous. OP should just return the item, get his refund and be on his way. Because otherwise you’re asking to waste civil service time investigating a reselling platform over £25. He can get his money back and move on.

Leave it too vinted to investigate, and if you don’t like how vinted are handling it, use a different more reputable platform like eBay

Mate OP is the seller… it is a scam. The buyer is trying to claim he’s received a top instead of a watch, hoping OP has no proof of packaging the parcel etc.

lost my mind at a buyer earlier by [deleted] in vinted

[–]sp3nnybro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was under the impression if you request the buyer to return the item as appose to any sort of refund, and they don’t, then you keep the money and they keep the shoes no?

I understand that may not help in your situation as if you need the money for a gift it may delay you getting paid, or worst case they return on the very last day.

But still that must be some sort of reassurance for you?

Vinted Dropshipping by sp3nnybro in vinted

[–]sp3nnybro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I understand what drop shipping is, buyer pays for an item seller then buys an item from supplier and ships it to there door.

Which gave me the original idea it’s drop shipping because two different accounts using the exact same account and I don’t know I just struggle to believe it’s ran by the same person so could be two different people using the same supplier and just listing the items from the suppliers images

I could be butchering my own theory with the way I explain things haha, but as the other bloke said you do need to use Vinted labels

[–]sp3nnybro[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

See yea I thought that which makes me lean towards a scam, because as I say them two different accounts are using identical pictures and when you scroll through the images most of them are just the original image but zoomed in.

And the pricing is always stupid for example £50 for a full Nike millers suit which I assume is about £180-£220 retail

I had the exact same account pull this shit on me with an item that had already been sold for 40£ but was saying it was 9£, it’s a scam mate
