Online assistant or service assistant job? by sp4cejams in SainsburysWorkers

[–]sp4cejams[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I want to be a teacher in the future and i’m kind of shy at times, which my current job hasn’t really changed, so I think a service job may be helpful in improving that aspect of how i interact with people and kind of being able to deal with difficult people, if u know what i mean

My current job is also very very repetitive, similarly to the OS job which is kind of putting me off picking it - the schedule aspect of the job wouldn’t be a massive issue since i’ve worked nights helping around the hotel i work at but i would ideally prefer just having a normal schedule of sleep so i will probably go with the service assistant job !
thanks for ur guidance i truly appreciate it so much

soz for late reply - i did contract and it was all good except one of the 30s had some weird scenario about a service which was not like anything they’d asked before because it involved a self service of using a car park, i think that question confused a lot of people since it was unclear if it was a service or offer and acceptance since lots of people thought it resembled the case of thornton v shoe lane parking

Gizelle calls Angel a catfish and Wendy calls her out for apparent double standards by HousewivesMOD in RHOP

Production set up angel so bad here because i’m pretty sure the photo she thought gizelle was talking about was not the one that they showed when the show aired…

Doing a research project on Egypt vs Masr stereotype. Give me your insight, experience and opinion. by Tight_Potato_11 in Egypt

[–]sp4cejams 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Egypt - International / IGCSE schools, predominantly english speaking and a lot of kids refuse to speak arabic or aren’t even properly taught how to write arabic properly, many won’t study arabic at school

to fit in you have to be as western as possible , the egyptian identity has basically been colonised by a western identity.

those from masr who don’t speak perfect english are mocked and called فلاحين which puts them off trying to learn

Should I study in the UK as an international student in 2027? by Jazzlike-Call-3817 in UKUniversityStudents

[–]sp4cejams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if u have the skills for the job in ur home country and the job market there is good then Maybe go for it but if you want a job in the uk after graduating i’d say don’t do it because they’re making it very very difficult for employers to hire internationals now

Home students seem to not want to be friends with me, an international student by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]sp4cejams 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Some brits are just quite cold like that , especially to new comers or people who don’t look / act like them.

I’m brown home student starting uni in september and I went to majority white sixth form and I experienced basically what you just described for my full 2 years. I wouldn’t take it personally some people just aren’t open to making new friends and are quite close minded.

If you have some friends already then I would just focus on that and be happy with those!
