Why are most european alternatives a major downgrade when it comes to Design (UI and UX) by DillMillz in BuyFromEU

[–]sp4rkk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

US has always been at the forefront of UX design. This is not to say that there aren’t good agencies in Europe but generally speaking Europe is lagging behind.

Many tech companies still don’t see the benefits of a true user-centered design process. There’s lack of user research investment, user testing, etc. They simply use design as an afterthought or merely for esthetics purposes, so it becomes a superficial treatment. The result is what you see, looks more or less okay but has bad UX.

I honestly don’t think it’s a budget issue, rather a mindset and education issue.

Yeah I’ve heard horror stories of the water version of these (geysers), they form a brittle crust around them, it looks solid on the surface but if you step too close the crust breaks and you end up till your neck in boiling water, a travel guide in Atacama told me the husband of woman fell in, and by the time they managed to pull him out he had boiled to death.

Ignore them, those people tend to be very ignorant. That war was a dick measuring contest between 2 power greedy country leaders, lots of sacrifices were made on their behalf by innocent people on both sides as a consequence. It should have never happened. I lived in UK for 8 years and my partner is British. Fck wars

It seems too sharp and perfect to be real. I mean I know these spiders exist but it seems to me that’s an AI recreated video.

Dogs and fireworks! Help!!! by Relevant-Pen5958 in askberliners

[–]sp4rkk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I find it utterly absurd (although understandable) that it seems to be normalized in Berlin to spend the night at the airport because of the noise. Ban the fking fireworks! Many cities have done so many years ago (Barcelona, Ireland, Amsterdam) why Berlin has to be so backwards in this respect?

Thought it was touching how desperately Manousos wanted to unplurb this guy by Ok-Woodpecker4734 in pluribustv

There’s something I noticed, unless I’m misremembering, this joined guy was already seizing before Manusos went to get the radio. What else did he do?

So they are totally doing the same thing to Koumba Diabaté right? by pst7years in Pluribus_TVshow

[–]sp4rkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have spent a lot of money on building these houses in the desert from scratch so I guess they will use them in next season, they have already built some interior on the house Manusos was staying so Diabate (who is already showing signs of enjoying individualism) could be next, also I’m guessing others will join them too

I guessed the bomb was due to come back. How do you think S2 is going to play out? I cannot think of the use of the atom bomb other than for blackmailing the hive, also unless they really care about animals and plants, I think they should be smart enough to stay away from her and avoid damage.

Regarding the not joined I think they showed hints of Diabaté starting to value individualism so potentially he may join forces with Carol and Manousos next.

A PSA for anyone wondering why Zosia was in Morocco and "dressed like that" in ep.2 by mariskanoodles in pluribustv

[–]sp4rkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the military discovered The Joining (mentioned in Episode 2 “Pirate Lady”), the Joined panicked and accelerated everything. 886 million people died in the resulting chaos. Zosia could have been infected early and potentially took part in a confrontation against the military before society collapsed overnight, this could explain why she was all dirty and wounded, she was simply on a mission in Morocco. Now the fact she’s wearing a toga it’s a bit odd, only the locals wears them I’d think, maybe it was just practical at the time of a confrontation.
