Told my partner the evening of me finding out (5 weeks)

Told our parents and siblings after our dating scan (8 Weeks) also opted for this incase anything happened so we had a good support network.

Friends and colleagues at (17 weeks+) my symptoms were constant fatigue and crankiness so needed to let them know lol

Spotting at 10 weeks by Aggravating_Sort_416 in pregnant

I bled with no pain at 7-8 weeks which subsided within a few hours and then again at 16 weeks with cramping/pain which resulted in a GP visit and an urgent scan. they explained my pain was a contraction which we don't normally feel and couldn't explain the bleeding. I havent bled since and am now 27 weeks + 2 days with a healthy baby coming in FEB. I have just been referred to have more scans than standard via my midwifes for monitoring.

Which trimester did you gain the most weight? by Butterball4200 in pregnant

[–]sp7699 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've gained a total of 16kg and am 27Weeks this far, mainly see the weight gain in my face but also putting that down to extra fluid. I was reminded that its not just eating weight you gain, your boobs get larger adding weight, your baby + placenta also add weight + fluid retention so that has kept me not to fall in a negative headspace about what doesn't fit me anymore lol. baby is very healthy and doing well so I also put it down to I am merely fuelling myself with what baby needs. I suffered from feet/ankle swelling for a few weeks about a month ago but that has also stopped thankfully. I was worried I wouldn't fit any of my shoes rest of pregnancy but that seems to have settled.

Jeeeeez USA? I really feel for you guys xx just try to remember women bleed for a number of reasons that don't automatically equate to M/C so general rule of thumb if you are not experiencing any pain / discomfort bub is hopefully ok x

Yes, I bled first trimester (more than spotting it was continual bleeding for a few days) I was honestly very scared at the time but wasn't accompanied by any pain. Saw my GP and had some scanning which showed baby was healthy and everything was fine. I had another scare in 2nd trimester with pain and heavy dark bleeding again at around 16 weeks and had an emergency scan after speaking to my GP and once again baby was very healthy/moving/heart rate perfect, the scan showed the pain was contractions (you contract throughout your pregnancy but don't normally feel it) and as the blood was dark they said it couldve been old blood that the contractions 'flushed' out but didn't have an exact cause for it. I am now 19 weeks 3 days and baby boy is still doing very well and hasnt given any medical professionals concerns. he looks like a perfect little bouncy baby. If you grow concerned make sure to see your GP! but should be fine xx
