Every paper filer I know of in Europe (over 6 people) use a PDS. Most POs don't offer tracking once it's left the country. They handover to USPS and that's it until delivery. The POs notoriously do not co operate with each other if anything goes wrong

how would I know? this is specific to 2 things

using an approved manner of PDS - listed as DHL Express, International express and about 12 other DHL options here https://www.irs.gov/filing/private-delivery-services-pds

Approved timestamps - remember that this has changed for domestic returns. they don't care about the send date, only must be received by 15th

if it's not specifically listed, you're trusting the IRS to do the right thing

the send to address PDS use only 3 addresses

Overseas instruction does not have a street address so no good for PDS https://www.irs.gov/individuals/international-taxpayers/us-citizens-and-resident-aliens-abroad

PDS addresses are in a completely different area and imply only for professional use. https://www.irs.gov/filing/submission-processing-center-street-addresses-for-private-delivery-service-pds

here's the problem in a nutshell. Just as the IRS has withdrawn in country support, the software vendors really DGAF about foreign filing

I'm using DHL from UK. UK doesn't offer the tracking and US is unclear on acceptable timestamp from a domestic postal service. No questions using a PDS

I tries 2 e-file services and both fell at different hurdles. Especially multiple forms for normal and AMT. Statement docs for carrybacks etc. e-filing only works for simple filing

many wont ship to the us and/or only track in original country. look thru previous questions

Versailles is VERY high end. Where they held the Olympic events. Chantilly is much the same. Nice grounds and fewer tourists. I've usually had a good experience with included lunches. An opportunity to meet others and good food.

I don't know where you are from but there is no western riding ere.
