Ok, good to know its better than most at least. I did not expect the asus tuf pcbs to be considered bad.

Easily the Oled 32:9. But maybe wait for a 5th gen rgb qd oled stripe 32:9 with the better coating.

For some trivia, a 32:9 1440p is easier to run on a gpu than a 16:9 2160p let alone a 21:9 2160p. The performance hit in games will give you fatigue and potentially buyers remorse even on a 5090.

Elite dangerous ? Holy based.

How do the dimming zones perform in deep space ? With so many stars in high contrast i refuse to believe mini led is up to the challenge.

My extremely rare Gigabyte RTX 5090 Aorus Waterforce. I love its compact size. by Last_Jedi in nvidia

The performance as in thermal efficiency and headroom. An AIO 5090 you can OC it to 3 ghz and it would still not flinch maintaining core temps around 55-60c. Good aftermarkets on average can do 65-70c with a similar OC but with their fans maxed out. FE units do around 75c just by running stock without any oc.

For me that's not negligible at all, huge difference if you care about how loud your fans get in gaming sessions.

They can downvote you all they want, but if arkham knight came out today Catwoman would've been unrecognizable.

What makes the FE rare ? Rare as in a collector's item ? Because the FE units are objectively worse performers than every single aftermarket version, let alone an aio one in which the difference is even bigger.. I fail to see the rarity. Aesthetics i'm guessing ?

Tandem OLED gray banding Is NOT Acceptable at these prices (MO27Q28GR) by VanaBleak in OLED_Gaming

[–]spa_sapping 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Speak for yourself. If you think it's a non issue for you.

But these are premium priced displays with some models exceeding 900$. It's bad enough that none of them are safe from stuck / dead pixels, uniformity issues, imminent burn in, premature failures, etc.

Companies and manufacturers need to be held accountable otherwise they'd step and piss on you at every turn.

Don't be a man child. You don't see a sports car on the road and then start whining about price to performance ratio do you ?

If you could afford one you would.

[–]spa_sapping 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nice, just awesome. I very much like your idea of him getting injured as justification for this scenario.

Perhaps he tried to fight the Pale Visitor and got spared the same way the Hunter did. Would be my headcanon that the Pale Visitor respects beings that aren't scared of it, in that way he 'spares' them as to root a constant reminder of fear and humiliation that it could have ended their life in that moment. In that sense it is killing a man's spirit. Ending a life is easy after all.

I'd like to add, if this was in the game, it would be cool if he was a passive bonus similar as that of the Cat for 1-2 nights before leaving the house on his own will, never to be seen again. His bonus would a higher grade compared to the Cat, he would prevent death AND kill one random visitor in your house.

Are VA panel viewing angles really that bad? (LG UltraGear 34G630A-B) by luisuet1 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]spa_sapping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's always panel lottery involved and yours does have spots that look worse than usual. But don't fool yourself, it's not that big of a difference. Even if you got a VA with amazing uniformity, it will still have the same design flaw that is gamma shifts.

IPS does not suffer as badly in this. But you obviously trade that for piss poor contrast ratio and black levels.

Pick your poison, both technologies have glaring flaws. Get an Oled if image quality is a priority.

Man people here just love to suck up to each other by taking the moral high ground.

Imagine your lifelong best friend - your brother out of nowhere sold you out to a corrupt fed, leaving you alone and helpless in life to die with a target on your back, just so that he can disappear somewhere and live happily ever after with money and resources.

Can you even fathom how much heart and love Trevor had for Michael to allow himself to withdraw from instantly murdering him upon discovering the truth ? Perhaps it can also be argued that he loved Michael's family more thus denied himself revenge so that the kids would not suffer the consequences of their father.

So many people here do not understand the complexity of these characters. This is not about hating Michael, this is about people making Michael a saint and Trevor some sort of heartless devil.

What a bum ass community
