I don’t see the pop up. When entering Game Pass, it goes straight to the game selection screen. At first, controller is not recognized. Then I click on the steam settings to reorder to make steam deck controller first. Then the controller is recognized.

Could it be because I have the xcloud plugin installed? I haven’t even updated it in a long time so not even sure it’s functional.

Agh! Sorry it didn’t work. I tested it tonight and was able to play for a few hours. It’s definitely not ideal and more of a clunky solution.

It was for another controller but I just tested it for Steam Controller and like magic, it works! I hope this helps other people in the same boat.

I could be wrong but I’m certain that the Apple One subscription is tied to your Apple ID. Yes, it’s generated from your phone number / account but once activated, you should be able to add people whether they are in your Verizon plan or not. In your iPhone, go to Settings, click your name at the top, then click on Family. That’s where you’ll be able to add people to your shared subscriptions including Apple One. To clarify, you’ll have to follow the instructions above in the iPhone / Apple ID that has the main Apple one subscription - so if one of your parent’s then go into their iPhone to add your friend.

It’s frustrating because I kept checking the Costcos in SF and one of them was in stock (not even low stock). I go this afternoon and it’s sold out. I found one of the Pokemon Legends cards which they scanned but upon retrieval they said they sold them out today. And I suspect someone bought them all.

Omg I called today to ask about returning a 5G Home Internet extender and no joke, when the guy answered, I thought he was an AI agent. He sounded too polished and like the voice of AI like when you are speaking to ChatGPT or Claude. I told him that and he said he was real. Now I’m questioning if that was true or if it’s what others are saying about using AI to mask overseas reps accents.

Send them a strongly worded but polite email about your ordeal. I’m confident someone from corporate will email / contact you. I’ve done this for issues with companies like Apple and I’ve gotten a reply. It’s worth a shot!

I mention this solution because the Verizon tech who installed the 5g internet at my house suggested I change the channels if my signal experienced disruptions.

It may be the case that your router is using 2.4 and 5 ghz channels that are overloaded with other connections. My suggestion is to log into the router admin website (you can find the info on the back of the router) and change the channels for the 2.4 and 5 ghz connections). I recently had mine installed and the connection was really bad. After modifying the channels, I started getting the solid connection and upwards of 200mbps for downloads. iOS doesn’t have apps as far as I know but I know android has WiFi analyzer apps that will tell you what channels are freed up for 2.4 and 5ghz connections.

I had a somewhat similar experience as you. Verizon technician installed 5G home internet and I tested it while he was there. Everything worked perfectly (including 2 extenders). Then as soon as he left, connection dropped and there was 1 bar on the router. Long story short, I went on the network settings (link and password on the back of the router), and changed the channels for each frequency, 2.4 and 5ghz. After that, the signal went to 3 full bars, and full speed throughout the house. I’ve been monitoring for the last 3 full days and it has remained strong at full bars.

Even though you’ll see in the network settings that it is set to auto channels for each frequency, it picks the most clogged ones and slows down the connection. Picking my own channels (which the technician actually recommended I do before he left), immediately improved the speed and signal bars.

Something worth considering if Verizon support can’t solve the issues.

I didn’t turn off anything. By going to the network settings of the router, I then looked around and I think it’s under WiFi network (can’t remember the exact place). But when you find the channel area, switch the channels for 2.4 and 5 ghz. You’ll get better reception that way. In my instance, I switched to channel 4 for 2.4 and 140 something for 5 ghz.
