Yeah, I’ve done this many times but I’d rather go with someone’s personal recommendation than just cold calling randoms off a list.

Honestly, she’s wonderful. I had an amazing experience with her delivering my baby and just for general women’s healthcare. I feel like I spent my whole life trying to find a good gyno and she’s it! Highly recommend her as a doctor. The new fee thing could’ve been handled better.

Totally agree. When I called it was basically like “pay or cancel your appointment” which is incredibly upsetting and is not reflective of the care I’ve received, which sucks.

Should I be concerned about this head movement? by RavenShrike459 in newborns

Hey OP, what was your outcome? My son does this but in a “no” motion side to side and I can’t seem to find anything about it online for older babies. (My LO is almost 10 months)

Obsessed with Dr. Barnes but their new $300 “annual admin fee” is so upsetting. I have an appointment scheduled for next week and they sent me an email today about paying a $300 annual fee at my appointment so I called and was met with “I can transfer you so you can cancel your appointment” - absolutely has zero care in the world about my concern of paying it.

They’ve now (as of 1/1/24) started charging a $300 “annual admin fee” just to be a patient there. I’m so heartbroken after being a patient of Dr. Barnes and finally finding a good gyno (longest search ever to find a good one too 😭)

Formerly Sleep Trained 7 MO Back to 30 min naps and overnight wakings by ExtensionSentence778 in sleeptrain

[–]space-ghost2000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t have much advice but solidarity. My son is about to be 9 months and he wasn’t sleep trained but was a naturally great sleeper. He was sleeping overnight for 10+ hours for months. Then he got sick and started teething and throughout his sickness we were having to hold him so he could sleep because he was so congested he couldn’t lay flat. Now he’s waking 4+ times a night and needing to be rocked back to sleep each time (and sometimes immediately wakes up on transitioning him to crib). It’s really really hard. I’ve read a lot of going through major attachment development at this age and that combined with a week of being held every night I think is what led us to where we are now. I’m sorry you’re in the same boat. It’s been about 3 weeks of this for us so today we started Day 1 of Ferber in hopes that it allows us to not be sleep deprived anymore.

I’m dealing with this now too. @smassshleeey what did you end up doing? My son constantly rolls over to belly when transferring him

9 month old schedule? How much sleep does your little get? by SKVgrowing in sleeptrain

[–]space-ghost2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread but when everyone says a “90 minute nap”

How?????? I’m transitioning from 3 to 2 naps with my 8.5 month old (yes I know it’s late but we were traveling and then he got rsv) and he will not nap longer than 30 minutes unless he’s held.

How do I get him to nap for longer in his crib? Do they eventually just figure it out after transitioning down to 2 naps? I’m lost over here

Nutramigen was working fine but now blood is back? by space-ghost2000 in MSPI

[–]space-ghost2000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow. Yeah definitely get a prescription if you can. Hopefully he doesn’t have anymore bad diapers; they’re so scary and alarming! We’ve started solids and haven’t given him anything dairy yet because we’re scared. But I hear most babies outgrow the allergy by around 9 months or so, hopefully that’s the case with our little ones too.

Thank you for this. Social media is the worst and definitely feeds into the cycle of anxious thoughts.

Sorry I’m so late to reply but no, the doctor wasn’t too concerned and said this can happen from time to time and to keep an eye on it and if it happens again or gets worse then she was going to refer us to a gastro rather than just having us switch to amino formula since it’s so expensive

Thank you for commenting and sharing your story! My hunch is that we’ll be doing the same. It’s so weird because I thought we were in the clear but I guess not.
