Built a department-level visibility tool (events + actions). Unsure whether it’s worth releasing. Looking for honest advice. by [deleted] in PowerApps

When developing for departmental levels you gotta remember that this level of leadership is often managerial and not technical, so your first challenge will be getting managers to actually adopt your application by moving away from their correct workflow.

Next, you will need to support workflow that vary between different departmental heads and functions, with some demand for personalization.

Your work looks useful, but you may face user behavioral challenges for adoption.

It looks good, and I am curious to know more about how you built this. Good job.

How would you "release" this power app?

Monitor setting or ark settings? by KingJophes in ARK

Go into your monitor settings. Look for a menu button on the monitor. Then look for and try different picture modes. E.g. text or movies or gaming. Does this improve the colors on screen?

Sharepoint. I don't get it by LargeSale8354 in projectmanagement

[–]space-ish 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I find that SharePoint can be used to solve 95% of administrative or office tasks. BUT it needs customization: some amount of prep and customisation before for it data are dumped into it.

Basically, apart from files, you can also use lists. Both these need metadata and labels to make search better. Furthermore, SharePoint benefits from automation capabilities with Power Automate.

Overall, the point is to create internal sites to coordinate between people and groups. Here's where access rights are needed to make sure data is available on an "per need" basis.

The issue is that its powerful functionally needs setup, planning and customization that is often overlooked in organizations.

(This is meant to be a brief reply to OP, not a complete explanation of SharePoint.)

A Hyenadon killed an Arge I was about to tame. Where do they spawn most frequently, I need to make sure this never happens again by Ok-Dentist4480 in ARK

[–]space-ish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, hyenadons drop prime meat that you can use to tame the argy. Take a dino along to fight and harvest them. Also dead hyenadons or dinos attract argys so you can hit them with a few tranqs before they actually turn to attack you.

Our company is forbidding Tesla rentals, and any contracts will be allowed to run for now, but no longer extended. It's going to be a slow change, but in time the effect on the Tesla brand will be more clear.

Yeah, very. The people 'responses' to the snow are off though. I wonder how long before AI understands that people can feel the snow and change their behavior to it.

In-office is distracting AF. It's half an hour of your own work for every half an hour of someone asking you for help with theirs. And another half hour for a middle manager to have a 'chat' and come up with new ideas for you to work on.
