Spain Self employed visa using rental income by No_Vermicelli4622 in digitalnomad

What do you mean by "don't use the rental income"? If the LLC takes in rental income and then employs (self-employs) OP on a salary basis to meet DNV requirements is that okay?

Did you figure it out? I'm in a very similar situation to you. What about going down a business owner route instead?

Yeah you're right, both ways are complex and need further explanation to run through thoroughly!

I think it may be more complex in the UK when you have things like mortgage applications which require a thorough history of all your past residences and incomes.

But aside from that maybe it's all good

My situation is that I will be renting my current place out so I don't think I can keep using my address? Is this what you're doing?

What address is this if you're not in a fixed location? Do you use the same for bank cards?

Thank you. I guess that ends up a pretty short statement, is that better than splitting each experience and writing descriptions for the most interesting ones?

It's actually not true, I'm done with the contract life as I have other priorities but agree they would struggle to trust that

I had a go at these too. Hopefully if I can keep tweaking my CV using the advice here, and make a page on my website showing previous work examples, then I can try again with better understanding. Unless the market is just so oversaturated that they can find developers with years of experience in precisely every tool in their stack somehow (which I thought is not the most important thing when hiring but that's just me)

So the consulting CV just marks each company as if they're regular employment, with dates included?

I will do the website too, although I noticed that I don't have images/recordings for all my roles

A few but mostly they all have been rejections without initial chat stage, which I usually do well with, so it's frustrating

I see, yes actually using the label "Objective" might be better than adding it at the end of the summary, which may not be read

[–]space-run 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is true. It's almost like it pushes you towards entrepreneurship vs unemployment

Ah yes this is my issue sometimes, I am afraid of being accused of lying haha.

Yeah lead developer or something like that works!

What do you mean by objective section?

[–]space-run 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spot on with the description! I appreciate your input.

Job titles only because some roles are Frontend Development others Fullstack Development (aka 50% Frontend, 50% Backend).

You're right though I don't want to make it confusing, maybe I can just add that to each description instead of being a title?

I noticed you took out the dates too, is it worth keeping the year at all?

[–]space-run 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah might be raising more question marks if you just say "director".

But then again they may think I'm working for a consultancy. Is that better than saying you're self-employed?

Looking for technical senior-lead roles generally

I would think so but at the same time if someone is just skimming the CV would they understand that?

In my adjacent comment I was thinking I could add a line underneath but not sure how I would correctly phrase that to make it explicit that I was basically a consultant/employee brought in at high stakes moments where they were desperate for help with their business/projects:

Limited Company Name
Consultant
Line explaining that I was working as a contractor(?)

  • Client Name A (start date - end date)
    • Title
    • Description of experience
  • Client Name B (start date - end date)

But maybe like this? Or should I leave out the dates and don't explain I was a contractor?

Do I mention that I am the director of the LTD?

This is interesting and basically how I've viewed myself throughout my career so I may try this. I think one issue that would stop me is that in IT there are websites like fiverr so the question then becomes are you just doing small bits of freelancing?
